It looked good on first looking through it but it didn't keep my attention for the duration of the stay.
It is well illustrated, the maps quite good, and it is quite comprehensive in terms of buildings and museums (well it is Vienna).
However, as someone who usually likes the eyewitness guides as a quick way of getting around, this one seemed a bit clinical and didn't appeal so much. Maybe I just didn't appreciate the detail in the book as much as I should have. In addition to the architecture, I enjoyed the Spanish riding school and the Butterfly House in the city, so as the week progressed I would have liked a bit more variety in the content, and some descriptions that would give me a real feel for the place.

To me these travel guides are the best you can get. It gets straight to the point, tells you enough history and the guide has a brillant, easy to use layout. I have a number of these for various cities and haven't been disappointed yet.

We are planning a short break to Copenhagen and this book is perfect to take with us.

There are great tips on where to stay (any price range), recommendations of where to eat and things that are 'musts' to see and do.

All of this (including a 'streetsmart' section) and still small enough to fit in your pocket or bag!!

On a recent trip to southern california, I spent some time in Los Angeles.
Not knowing my way around, I found this book to be very useful.
It gave me great information on things to see and do as well as places to eat, drink and sleep and personal safety information.
It also gives information on renting or buying a car, something that is absolutely essential in this huge city.
As a result of buying this book, I had a fantastic time and I didn't miss a thing. Highly recommended.

This is a very useful guide book. Whilst not as detailed as some guide books, all essential information is there and the illustrations are both attractive and informative. I have not spotted any factual errors (at least so far), although information can and does change. I am a Scot and have bought a copy of this book for non-Scottish friends planning a holiday in Scotland. It would also make a good souvenir of a Scottish holiday.
