I really enjoyed this book it was a real page turner, I could not wait to finish it but now I have I can not wait for her next book to come out. It was so easy read and had you gripped. This was one of her best book in ages.It was full of smut,a must buy for any Jackie Collins Fans. You will not be disappointed with this book guaranteed.

White Tiger makes an effective contrast to the tradition of the beautiful, mysterious Indian novels of Rushdie, Seth et al. Adiga shows the unpleasant underside of the Westernisation (aka Globalisation) of Mumbai - and India in general - how it fails to help the poor and how the new system relies as much on the old on corruption and the caste system. Then of course there's the vicious murder committed by an intriguing anti-hero who makes a quite a convincing argument that, for the dispossessed, murder is a useful way of climbing the financial and social ladder. A very promising and entertaining first novel.

This is a book written by a boy Jasper Dean, & some parts from the eyes of his father Martin Dean. It is about their journey & adverntures through their lives. From Martin's childhood to when Jasper is born & his upbringing.The other significant character is Jasper's notorious criminal hero uncle Terry who is loved by the nation. The book is in 3 parts which I tought was a rather good gimmick. I personally loved the parts written by Jasper but found the philosophical ponderings of Martin tiring & boring; although he is as funny as Jasper& has a wonderful sense of humour. I would really recommend this book, though the way it says 'One minute later' and so on just gives it one star less. Louise Rennison is a fabulous writer, who can really relate to children of this age. It shows that every teen aged girl has these unfortunate tiffs and I love it!!!! It is very eyecatching too and has got a guide for kissing on the last page which really gives it a lot of fabnosity. It's a liveley book and one of the wonderful books Ive read in my life out of about 6 which actually made me giggle, which is amazing since it's very hard to make a girl giggle at words on a page. Brilliant book, couldn't put it down, it has to be the best yet, each page was as exciting as the last, great book.

They often amuse by disclosing how they have fallen victim to the limitations of thought that they are describing. The fact that these educated, articulate professionals can fool themselves so often demonstrates how tough it is to think clearly, a point the authors emphasize and even repeat. Humans fall prey to systematic errors of judgment, but you can harness this problematic tendency productively, including by helping others make better decisions. The original "How to Cheat at cooking " has had an honoured place in our kitchen for 30 years. It was full of great corner cuts based on readily available products and the cheat s worked, like all Delia stuff - This original book didn't depend on which supermarket you used- no corporate recommendations here - just great ways to produce good dishes and sauces with less effort and relatively wholesome ingredients - the new book is different , fun sure, but sooo corporate, - seek out the old one(even as a collectable item it will still be cheaper) and rekindle your faith as well as getting quick dishes people admire on the table

With beautiful pictures and lyrical text this is a book you can start reading to your little one from a very early age. Even though my little boy doesn't understand he loves the pictures of big and little nutbrown hare and he knows its about love because of the tone in my voice and the big hugs! Also it's great for dads: normally depictions of love in children's books seem to be a Mum and a baby; Big Nutbrown Hare is the father! Because it's a bit more "wordy" than most baby books I think it's good for youngsters to learn that the weird squiggly black things (letters!) have something to do with the story too.

I was really looking forward to this, having heard so much praise. I guess I missed something, but I was expecting a really deep, complex story, like so many reviews and articles had described, and didn't find anything of the sort. The artwork's flawless, but the story really did nothing for me, especially the Joker's back story, which seems to be the most raved about part. I felt no attachment to any characters, and having only recently read Watchmen for the first time, and being so blown away by that, I couldn't see how this was the same writer. I also found it shockingly short, which I don't expect from a graphic novel. As I said before though, awesome artwork. I still love that cover!
