I recived this book as a present and have enjoyed using this for quick and easy fish dishes. Also, unlike Real Fast Food there are good chicken dishes here particularyl of the curry and Moroccan variety.

I purchased a dual rice cooker/slow cooker, mainly for the rice bit, but on looking for recipes suitable for a slow cooker I plumped for this book for starters. Unfortunately this book is just an updated version of an old book first published around 30 years ago, so the recipes are a bit "living in the 70s" (beef bourguignon anyone?). Slow cooking seems to be undergoing a bit of a revival, but we really need some new recipe books with more sophisticated recipes and flavours for more modern tastes.

There's no greater way to inspire the wanton traveller than books about the places he wishes to visit. I came across this book at the exact time I began planning an upcoming trip around the med. I've been engrossing myself in Mediterranean cooking for some years now, and wanted to expand my culinary knowledge of the area. While I don't watch much TV, I am well aware of Rick Stein's reputation and capabilities, but am simply in awe of the attitude he takes to food. Every recipe is introduced by the story of its origin or how he discovered it, introducing the local people who create them, and even the history of the dish. I've had this book (the older edition) for almost 10 years now and I'm still using it. The recipes always work perfectly, the short little stories over each recipe are fun to read and I've never made any soup from this or the other two books without people asking for second, third and in one case even fourth helpings (and most of the time the soup was supposed to be the starter!). Normally, I make at least double the quantities because of that. Can you say more to show just how yummy the recipes are? This definitely is a book I couln't live without. Everybody should have it!

I was really impressed with the Recipe book. I love Innocent Smoothies, though thought they were very expensive, and like many others, bought this book as a cheaper option. To make smoothies that taste good and are cheap. I was thouroughly satisfied. I have made a few of these smoothies (without a juicer I might add) and they have blessedly tasted the same as the ones I love. I would recommend it to anyone. The posh ones are particularly good :) The book was funny and a joy to read, with jokes and fun facts and even exercises to do while you make your smoothie. Very high quality. Very impressed.

I bought this book together with my steamer and only started using it once I had a problem with my stove and couldnt use it. This book is wonderful! A wide range of recipes covering everything from eggs to desserts. After having tried most of them though, I find myself trying to find another cookbook which has the same quality which seems to be nigh impossible! Four stars out of five because it is simply too small, I want more recipes from this great author!

Everything you could possibly need to know in one handy compact book. Every cook should have a copy of this on their shelf - it is like having a mini delia in your kitchen which you can refer to as and when you need it. Fab!

My criteria for a good 'family' cook book is whether the recipes satisfy the fussiest of eaters at your dinner table. I've tried and cooked a number of recipes from this book and they not only work but also both my children enjoy and more to the point finish the final result. You need good, simple nourishing recipes that are not over rich and this book ticks all those boxes. There is a huge and confusing array of recipe books out there catering for this market and whilst Tana Ramsey benefits from having a famous husband as well as a TV series, her recipes are simple, attractive and more to the point taste good. I recommend this book.
