I moved to Paris in January 2007 from Cobham, just south of London. English food has undergone a revolution as far as I'm concerned. When I first lived in England for a year 20 years ago, (in the meantime lived in Holland and Germany) all you could get in a restaurant was instant coffee. Now I find that almost anywhere you drop into a resataurant or gastro pub, you can get a good meal and freshly brewed coffee - in some cases over priced, but for the most part a good meal. No so in the museaum city of Paris! Lots of mediocre and over-priced food, catered to tourists.

I bought this book out of boredom - my French is not very good... so I was loking for anything in English.
