This very interesting and useful book is spoiled by the "don't try this at home" type caveat of the author. Apparently you need to sign up to his Universal Healing Tao System. Quite apart from it being a commercial puff, the author says you'll need to get in contact with one of his agents, or you might do yourself an injury by working unsupervised on the exercises. Anyone who has read Stephen Russells stuff, e.g. "Return of the Urban Warrior", will know that these claims are pretty much bs. If you've practised a martial art, are currently on a practice based spiritual path, etc., you can essay these exercises without fear.

This book is simply AMAZING... I have read all of Don Miguel Ruiz's books now and this is by far my favourite. The book talks about the sickness of the human condition and how we can overcome it. Although Don Miguel Ruiz speaks with common sense, there is such a sense of deep wisdom behind his words that I can't help but re-shape my view of the world. Amazing book. D.

Another extremely thought provoking, yet Biblically based book by Rebecca Brown. This time with the assistance of her husband Daniel Yoder. I have read many such books on this subject. I listen to what each author has to say and weight it against the Holy Scriptures. This is the only way to ascertain any level of truth or credibility in their content. I find it very difficult to argue with Rebecca Brown. Her approach is different to most, but the fundamental truth of what she says shines through. The hostility and discrediting reviews of others here seem to have little if any foundation. None that I can find make any attempt to show where they consider Rebecca Brown to be in error. People do notice the difference, as when I visited friends abroad they commented how much more self-confident I was. Everyone has internal fears thay they mask, this certainly helped me resolve some of them, thanks.

This book is a great one. Having just started on the aromatherapy road, this book has tonnes of great advice from recipes to background information on subjects. It is very well organised with clear defined sections. I would recommend this book to aromatherapy personnages of all levels.

used along with my therapy this puts a lot of complex ideas into simple language, i would recommend it - its a book you can dip in and out of as you need a bit of support. highly recommended

I was given this by someone who saw Oprah raving about it and bought two copies in a state of excitement. I thought that the first three pages were quite good then was extremely disappointed as the rest went no further than to rehash Buddhism. My overriding concern is Tolle's continual denigration of the ego and his attempts to persuade us that if we could just annihilate any sense of being an individual or having individual thoughts or preferences we could all acheive permanent bliss. In fact, if we all followed this advice we would all coagulate in one big splurge of mush as no one would be allowed a personality at all. This kind of spirituality feels very uncomfortable. I got this book based on the good reviews on here. It seemed really interesting for the first couple of chapters and then I got to the first exercises. How on earth I am supposed to memorise these meditations is beyond me. I suppose I could record them and play them back.... I don't believe one has to chant strange "God" names in Certain order in order to meet with one's guide. Luckily I bought this second hand. If anyone wants my copy they can have it for free!! I shall keep searching for a more practical book, one that fits in with my family life. Perhaps buy this if you have nothing else to do with your time,
