Ever so often I find myself going "YES!" "YES!" again and again. This book brings together spontaneous mystical experiences, states of illumination and enlightenment and the NDE's with the secretion of DMT in the pineal gland. His research into laboratory administered controlled doses of the DMT and the emerging parallels in the description of the individuals is fascinating. As a therapist I have found Dr Newton's books an inaluable aid for my own work in regressions/progressions. And, I do recommend his books as an introduction to what lies beyond our preceptible physical world to clients, friends and acquaintances - who wish to make up their own minds. The point here is less about whether one believes what he writes is unshakeable proof of existence beyond our senses but that these experiences open up new vistas on life and our own purposes. Even if none of it were true, one could still gain immensly from such insights. A very inspiring book that will change the way you look & feel about life. No amount of stars can do this book justice, just go out and get a copy. This book will help you to see life and death in some many positive ways and once you finishing reading it, im almost certain it will help you cope with anything that life has to throw at you. I am very much a believer when it comes to life after death and im glad people like Colin give hope and believe to us all. A book worth reading again and again.

I was given this by someone who saw Oprah raving about it and bought two copies in a state of excitement. I thought that the first three pages were quite good then was extremely disappointed as the rest went no further than to rehash Buddhism. My overriding concern is Tolle's continual denigration of the ego and his attempts to persuade us that if we could just annihilate any sense of being an individual or having individual thoughts or preferences we could all acheive permanent bliss. In fact, if we all followed this advice we would all coagulate in one big splurge of mush as no one would be allowed a personality at all. This kind of spirituality feels very uncomfortable. Sitchin always avoided straight answers in his books, always being impartial, just sugesting...but in this (I guess, final book...legacy book)book, he is honestly answering on BIG questions, like questions about THE SHIFT and RETURN=INVASION of E.T.s and bunch a more things. This books summarizes everything he ever wrote in one big honest opinion about ending...to be more exact, a DIRECT WARNING about chaos that will reign soon. This book is simply brilliant and is written like an interview in which author is in the same time the interogator and the man who is giving answers...THIS BOOK IS A MUST HAVE FOR EVERYONE THAT "KNOW" WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN REALLY SOON...

I did not think I would like this book and I don't think I am personally open to it enough to get the reactions described by the other readers. That said I thought I would write a review because it is beautifully written and very interesting. there is a lot of well researched material about the saints gods and goddesses included. Even as a sceptic I enjoyed it very much and learned a lot.
