First of all, you should ignore all the one-star reviews of this book. Those reviews criticize the MLA, not the book. The book itself is really good. One of my English professors recommended it to our class. She also said that every English major should have a copy of it. I had always used Diana Hacker's book in other classes. After she recommended it, I decided to check it out at the bookstore. After skimming through it, I decided to buy it. It was so much easier to follow than Hacker's book. I will use it in the future. Gibaldi devotes an entire chapter just to plagiarism (and how to avoid it). Brandon Simpson

This book is excellent for the British law conversion course. I imagine that a full law degree may need more depth but this book offers great analysis of the key issues, all the relevant case law with just the right balance of discussion and theory as well as useful diagrams. It is also an enjoyable and thought-provoking read. I have a book shelf of student criminal law books (including such delights as Simester and Sullivan, Padfield etc) and this is far and away the best. I would strongly recommend it to anyone.

This book is easy to read and digest. It gives superb guidance and assistance on advocacy. It's totally practical. It's a weapon in your hand. I recall my pupillage as a barrister and the half arsed "training" I received from my pupil master. This book will make up for all of the gaps.

Wait until the next print of this book; there is a late addition, printed on loose leaf, inserted within the pages. A brief note informs you deception has been replaced by the Fraud Act 2006....Wonder how long it will take me to lose that operationally! In my opinion, this one 'cheap-skate' act sullies the book to such an extent that I will not write about any of the good points. Feel free to replace my copy New Police Bookshop.

Very well written, a lot of useful information, explains all you would like to know about all these details. I wasn't aware of all these things you should know when you run a limited company until I read this book. It is rather not a detailed guide to your paper work or documents you would need to write. It is more like a reference manual to different aspects of the organization. If you need to know some details about secretaries, shares, owners, board of directors, etc, you jast open the book and it is there.
