I have been looking for a book about the Enneagram for a while, and I was delighted to discover this in the psychology section of my local bookshop. However I was really disappointed with the way the book was written, Parke writes as if he were the enneagram itself, I really didn't like this style at all: it would be like reading a cookery book spoken from the perspective of a quiche, or a gardening manual through the eyes of a pot plant. Thhe book is presented in a series of letters 'My dear reader', 'yours truly....E', and for someonje who is urging us to become more authentic it all felt a little bit phoney. When we heard that a copy of Dr Usui's Original Manual had been discovered our excitement overwhelmed us. A friend and I waited and waited for publication. Eventually I received my copy and it really made my heart sing! The revelations revealed about the original Japanese Reiki Techniques confirmed everything. They also showed me so much more about how Dr Usui used different positions for different ailments. This information is invaluable to every Reiki practitioner due to the huge difference between JRT and the Western Oral Tradition. I recommend this book to all of my Reiki students excellent for home study, homework and practise if one wishes to develop one's skills and work intuitively just like Dr Usui did. Blessings ... This is the 3rd set of tarot cards I've bought in my life and the other 2 got opened, read, tried once and never used again 'cos they were just too confusing! That's where these cards are brilliant! They've got their meanings written in a couple of sentances on each card which is exactly what I've been looking for, for 15 years! If you're interested in learning to read tarot cards but you've never done it before and you are a total beginner (like me) then get these cards! They are perfect for the beginner to use every day!

I've read this book four times and what still strikes me is Marshall Rosenberg's assertion that we are always trying to meet our basic human needs. I've been trying to relate to myself and other people in this way now for several years, and I've found that I really am more deeply connected with myself, my partner, my children and the people around me. I'm still working on the language part.

I have been buying these calendars for years now and they just seem to get better. The artwork is beautiful, the tips and hints on each day are handy and there are always some interesting articles at the back of the calendar itself. The only thing to remember if you are working with the phases of the Moon is that the calendar is set to EST not GMT. Obviously being US made it does not show our public holidays etc., but this is a small price to pay for such a lovely calendar.
