An entertaining book for college/university students (and while I'm heading off on a tangent in my first sentence, what's all this 'we are in America' rubbish?) and others with a bit of a geeky sense of humour and a healthy view of belief structures. Unfortunately, it fails on several key points. 1. It's just a bit too smug 2. There are no protracted introductions to chapters telling the reader who begat whom. 3. Right at the start, Mr Henderson explains that the more of the FSM's attention he lavishes onto us, the shorter we are. And then the claim is made that there is antagonism between the FSM and midgets. The true chosen ones are miget pirates. This book is verging on heresy.

I did want to give up smoking, but kept making excuses to carry on, like "I'm stressed because of the divorce" or "I might as well smoke while I'm working away because I'm bored and lonely" etc etc. Apparently us women are masters at creating excuses to justify the habit (well I know that's true for me). Allen Carr's book dispelled a lot of the myths attached to smoking. The most surprising one for me is the "withdrawal of nicotine" myth. I wasn't a heavy smoker (not that this makes a jot of difference) but I did smoke 10-15 a day, and more if I was out drinking or on holiday. I bought this book alongide my textbook at the beginning of September when this latest edition had just come out and I was not disappointed, from reading this book it gave me a good overview of what to expect from my course and provided me with a basic knowledge of the aproaches and other parts of psychology. I would reccommend to anyone considering to take a course in psychology as well as those who want to know a basic overview of the subject.

Bold, highly entertaining and thought-provoking. This book will change the way you think about heart disease forever. This description is on the front of the book and is absolutely spot-on. And it has probably saved lives. For example, after taking statins for several years, my mother-in-law suddenly became very forgetful - repeating the same question four times in less than 15 minutes, forgetting that she had gone shopping or to the doctor that morning, forgetting whether she had driven there or taken the bus, etc. It was quite frightening for all of us. This book and CD by Andronicos Andronicou knocks spots off the Barbel Mohr books and CDs. The relaxed and calm voice on the CD that accompanies this book leads you to the cosmos, and you actually believe in what is being said. The balanced voice of the author guides you to your destination in the most comfortable way possible, either from your armchair or wherever else you feel comfortable. Being fairly new to cosmic ordering left me in expectation, and I was not disappointed. I did try to obtain the other title by this author to see the comparison, `The Ultimate Guide to Cosmic Ordering - Empower Your Destiny: Take Control of Your Life', but it seems to be the same as this book, but without the CD although that one is out of print. I find that the 'Dummies' books tend to dumb down the subject that they are covering. For me, the best book for learning how to meditate is 'Mindfulness in Plain English' by Bhante Gunaratana. It doesn't matter that it is written by a monk - you do not need to go to a monastery or have any religious beliefs to practice meditation. For me, Buddhist monks are the real 'experts' on meditation as they have 2500+ years of experience behind them!

We had been told time and time again that Bethany diet would not in any way be making her Juvenile Arthritis worse. However after reading your plan and realising that although I though I was giving her a healthy diet she was having a lot of citrus foods. We have been following for 4 days and we are seeing an improvement already. Having a young child on so many drugs and injections is a real worry and if this will help even a bit it will be the answer to all our prays. Thank you

Heard of Emoto years ago but only recently gone on line and been able to track him down. I am very grateful to have read his work, it was beautifully written and his philosphy behind his work was very spiritual. Now I cant wait to get his other books.
