I have not read any of the other books by this author, so to me it was all new stuff. I do get the feeling from other reviewers that the author could have tired a little harder, and perhaps was riding on the back of `The Secret'. I agree with one of the other reviews that goes on to detail our own desire and that, perhaps, it is this that makes us unhappy, due to it leaving us unsatisfied. The text herein gives exercises and tips on overcoming blocks that limit our feelings and beliefs. I am well on my way to reading through a lot of these `self help' books, and this one by Joe Vitale does seem at odds with itself at times. I guess as I go through more of this author's collection of books I will get the message he is sending out.

I was given this book some years ago by a good friend - I have dipped into it so many times and yet each time I read it I never cease to see inspiration vitality and encouragement on each and every page - Bach has the ability to see beyond 'an everyday occurance' and is able to turn it into a magical and enthralling experience. If all of this sounds cheesy then so be it - It is the sort of book you either love or loathe - I have bought several of these little treasures and have given them to friends especially those who have been dealing with difficult situations.

Reading the latest review of this book, I literally had to leave my desk, walk over to the book shelf and check the title of the book I thought I'd read, because there was such a mismatch. But no mistake. It's just that I'm not able to associate the glowing praise of the reviews with what I have in front of me.

I bought it from Amazon with an open mind and was actually looking forward to it arriving in the post. It came and with great excitement I read the cracking testimonials from John Harvey-Jones, "Management Today" and others, and was thrilled by the way it described itself as "The world's bestselling book on persuasion".

But... it's full of hot air.

A lot of the content is stuff you will have seen before ... Read More:

Much creativity is lost between the time we are young children and when we become adults. The school system, societal influences, and even maturity itself eventually whittles away the artist in most people.

Julia Cameron systematically addresses subjects to release the enormous creativity we all have. I found the book useful for stimulating an artist's though processes. Improving one's creativity is a key element in developing the right brain for Critical Thinking.

The Artist's Way validated several ideas that I had picked up through the years. I have been fortunate to have a very creative family. My sister has created amazing miniatures for many years. After retirement my father became an amazing wood carver ( I have ... Read More:

I agree, not quite as worthy as `Ask and It Is Given: Learning to Manifest Your Desiresby the same married couple of Esther and Jerry Hicks. This is a tad heavy at times and yet I still did like many parts of it. I do wish they had fully proofed this into English grammar from the Americanised twang, but it overcomes this with the spirit of good intention. I do not agree with the concept that what you have is what you deserved to get, as it reflects poorly on what is really meant. We attract what we think, and this book goes into great detail about that.

This book was given to me when I started in the advertising industry and has inspired me to push myself creatively and to challenge everything. The book presents a high risk high gain strategy of managing your career by thinking out of the ordinary. I think as a direct result of reading this book I have used the presentation that my boss deemed 'too different' and questioned the norm on a daily basis, which has so far worked out well for me!!

Although this book is obviously been aimed at the creative industries, a couple of my friends read it when we were on holiday (a doctor and farmer) and they seemed to take away as much from it as I did. Takes about 20 minutes to read and leaves you feeling motivated and chomping on the bit to do better.

There's so much wrong with this book I don't know where to begin. Its tone is patronising, it contains factual errors, opinion is paraded as fact and descriptions of massage techniques are thin and inadequate.

I've just finished my ITEC holistic massage, reflexology and aromatherapy exams. It's frustrating, but you will need these LT books to pass the exams. ITEC like to put obsure bits of Louise Tucker misinformation into theory exams.

Get it as cheap as possible because you won't learn much from from it and you won't to use it once your qualified.

By the way, I don't belive that the rave reviews of this book are real. They can't be. They cannot POSSIBLY be talking about the same book!

A summary of simple and easy steps to boost your productivity in a slim, easily read book that's suitable for even the most time pressured of people. With plenty of tips and ideas that you can dip in and out of when you need it, to help deal with the habit of putting things off. It's on my recommended reading list for clients and is a great addition to any busy person's bookshelf.

You can't even make the excuse that you don't have time to read it, each chapter is only a few pages long with a handy summary/action section after each one.

The concept for this book is reasonably good, but can be boiled down:

1) Choose your attitude - you can either be happy or miserable at the office. The work stays the same whether you're cheery or not.

2) Play. Have a bit of a play at the office.

3) Make their day. Do something every day which will be the best part of someone else's day.

4) Be present. Don't be thinking about your holiday or last night's TV when you could be fully focussed on work. Interact with people.

Beyond that, it's a 45min read about how one woman implemented this into her company and even that isn't hugely rewarding as the book stops at the point she implements these techniques.

60.The Divine Matrix: Bridging Time, Space, Miracles, and Belief by: Gregg Braden

I read this to find out what the latest thinking might be concerning the supposed relationship between quantum physics and 'spirituality'.

Unfortunately I'm none the wiser due to Mr Braden's error-filled and woolly thinking.

He makes too much of his own experience in a tech industry, as if to give himself some authority. He cherry-picks the science in support of his own desired outcomes, he extrapolates hugely and unashamedly from the subatomic scale to human emotions and beyond, and makes unjustified jumps and associations of ideas to come up with unprovable conslusions.

It's not about quantum physics in any that might help us understand our palce in the world. It's not a spiritual path or practise that might help us transform ourselves. ... Read More:
