This is absolutely amazing!
I've always considered myself as a "sensible Audiophile", in the sense that I wouldn't class the most expensive equipment as being the best by any means.
This just proves this. It proves it so well.

I have Rockbox installed on my iPod, listening to a HD Audio File (FLAC, not ALAC). This is phenominal. I can hear so clearly, the vocals, the instrumentals.. It's just mind boggling.
For the price, I would highly recommend this, words just cannot explain the sheer ecstacy my ears are recieving at this moment.

I needed a good laugh. Reading this book in under 3 hours provided it. Just like the author pointed out in a comment to one of the reviewers, I certainly believe that the letters are real (or else the book could not have been published without the various airlines' consent ) .
T. Ravenscourt's brilliant idea was to write to several airlines, making up far-fetched demands or with argumentative situations, and wait for their reply. To these he would respond again and again, seeing how far he could stretch it and get away with. I suspect that the patience of most Customer Relations departments with this particular passenger was tested several times! I can see the initial laughs after receiving the first letter and eyes-rolling-nostrils ... Read More:

I read through this book quickly and although I was already familiar with most of the material, I found that it it jogged my memory in a few areas. I have already read quite a lot of philosophy but there were one or two things that I learned from this book.

Nigel Warburton is a senior lecturer in philosophy at the Open University and he has divided this book into seven chapters. Particularly on the section on meta-ethics in his second chapter entitled "Right and Wrong" and the section on falsification in his fifth chapter "Science", I gained some insights into things that I hadn't picked up from reading much larger books. One of the best introductions on the market to a very important but sometimes abstract and obscure subject.

I confess to picking this book up because I saw Stephen Fry's name on the spine. But it was not fan-ship that made me unable to put it down again. I had no particular interest in poetry when I started reading it. Over the years I had written a few scribbled poems here and there, but that's as far as it went. This book has changed all that.

Since reading this book I have bought, read, and loved poetry for the first time in my life. I can actually appreciate what I'm reading now instead of being bored. I have also begun writing with so much more satisfaction than before. There's something empowering about knowing the "rules", rather than just floundering along trying to make things rhyme. Whether you choose to use them or not is up to you, ... Read More:

I also was given this book aged 7 in 1979. It has been read so much that I had my original copy rebound in hardback 10 years ago.

It has a fantastic range of poems which are grouped into different age groups for easy navigation. Accompanying each poem are the child's reasons why they chose to it to be included within the book. These insights, often charming, form a brilliant beginning for discussion about poetry with your child.

From a child's perspective the poems are quite simply a joy to read. Included within the collection are exciting, magical, funny, sad, scary and narrative poems. A suitable poem for every occasion and every taste, especially bedtime!

I would thoroughly recommend this book to all children, parents ... Read More:

50.Murakami Diary by: Haruki Murakami

This is a sweet little diary full of quotes, book covers and associated Murakami paraphernalia; liberally sprinkled with book histories, publishing dates and Japanese holidays.

It's very beautiful, and even comes in a dust jacket, and despite all there is to be enjoyed it still feels quite minimalist; the black and white and red styling complimenting the character of Murakami's novels perfectly.

From a bibliophile's point of view, it is certainly a valued item to keep alongside Murakami's wonderful novels. The only problem i can see is exactly why you would want to write in it at all!
