This book is an easy read for anybody (like myself) with little history knowledge of the 20th century Iran, with focus on the events in 1953.
It highlights from critical western perspective how following events like the 1979 revolution were the consequences of past colonial mistakes of the UK and the US, and (at least to some extent) explains the odd Iranian policies as the result of the western interferences of the past.
Very recommendable.

As usual Jim Marrs digs un all the dirt and forgotten mainstream articles that point to the extreme right-wing tendencies of the American Elite. The first half is a very convincing account of how the Rockefellers and British Aristocrats did everything they could to help HItler to power. They were under the impression that Eugenics (also a Bush family fave) is a good thing and indeed 'esential' for the furure of human evolution and money to be made from banking in a World War was just too good to give up.
It draws upon many years of investigations into especially Prescott and George HW Bush, Henry Kissinger and David Rockfelller. Some would say that these men are agents of the NWO, and that could very well be true. The connections and moneyflows go back ... Read More:

I had really looked forward to reading an account of George Hogg's life, and the world of China at that time. Unfortunately the book almost constantly name drops, and characters are introduced who seem to have no real part in Hogg's story. There seemed to be so much potential in the story, but unfortunately it gets boring, and I found it difficult to keep on reading it.

I bought this book a couple of months ago, and liked it so much that even purchased its soft copy. The book is based on the days of Russian revolution in 1917, when it was almost dying as seen by the world, and narrates in a very nice and dramatic way the hardships that the Russian soldiers faced on the front line, public in the cities, towns and villages, and politicians and leader in their campaigns. John Reed has very beautifully presented his observations of the revolution and I hope not only Russian but every student of politics and leadership will like to read it. I read it because Benazir Bhutto mentioned it in her book, "The Daughter of the East." The book explains the nature of political parties active during the revolution and their impact on Russian and international ... Read More:

This is the autobiography of a Canadian who just cannot get enough of flying. He is already a proficient pilot by his late teens. To earn his keep, he goes on to fly in the RAF and eventually finds himself a test pilot and later, the CO of a Polish fighter squadron during the Battle of Britain. The Poles held a vendetta for Hitler and were more than a handful for him to control.

Perhaps the more interesting parts of his story are his test pilot exploits. He tells of his nerve-wrecking experience of testing with barrage balloons, where he flys, quite literally, into them and still manages to land his damaged craft for the scientists to inspect! Needless to say, losses in the test pilot squadrons are very high, but he survived to continue flying commercially after the war.
