Here is a great collection of gaffes and stupid quotes made by politicians both from the UK and US.I take my hat off to the authors Mark Hanks and Ben Garrett for compiling these.George w Bush features heavily which should of course suprise no one(would you trust this man to run a market stall?).Another idiotic speech was Donald Rumsfeld's "Unknown knowns" which is included here(what on earth was he talking about?) We also get contributions from Blair,Brown and John Major etc so buy and have a good giggle.

This is probably the best introduction available, being lucid and succinct, it also takes just the right approach to the subject for the beginner. Instead of a chapter by chapter guide to the main thinkers or theories, Wolff cleverly structures the book in such a way that the student is gently coaxed into exploring the fundamental questions of political philosophy for himself. The author notes at the beginning that it is sometimes said that 'who gets what?' and 'who says so?' are the only two questions of importance in the subject. Whilst denying this to be entirely the case, Wolff puts these questions firmly into intial context by asking why we need the state at all and then proceeds to ask if we do need the state, who indeed should govern ... It also dispelled any illusions I had that consumers have that much of a choice when it comes to the food they eat and buy. It sounds like a dire subject, but it's a very entertaining read, with many useful charts, photographs, and diagrams.
