My son is aged 5 months and I have been reading him this book everyday for about 2 months. Everytime he sees the book he smiles, and laughs through out my reading it. The great thing about this book is that the rhymes are like nursery rhymes and so are great for the very young, also the bright colours and amazing pop up features really hold his interest. I would recommend this book, and the other Jack Tickle books to anyone with young children.

My 2 year old son just loves trains. Dunno why not too interested in them myself but I think I got a future trainspotter on my hands! Spotted this book in a small book shop whilst on holiday in Somerset for £6. Since buying it, my son insists on looking at it everday. It really is very well done. Obviously with lots of pop up and moving bits it needs adult supervision, but having said that it is still pretty robust considering. Lots of facts, lots of moving parts and pop ups, and my son almost wets himself when we get to the last page and the pop up station! Simply brilliant.

I got this book for my 5 month old daughter and I love it and so does she. The pictures are big and colourful, and she loves me reading the poems to her in a sing song way. I prefer it to books with one or two sentences! We also enjoy looking for the starfish doing silly things! The reason I have given the book 4 stars is because I would would have liked it more had it had stiffer pages that would be able to handle pulling and pushing and being chewed on. The price is also a bit steep. That said, I will still be buying the rest of the series, as its beautifully written and illustrated.

This is a fantastic pop up book, a must for any young natural history fans. I bought it for my son's 6th birthday, he's totally fascinated by it and has even taken it to school today to show his class. Great value and worth every penny to keep him off his playstation for a while!

This book is a complete classic that will delight children from a very early age. We started with this book when our son was about eight months old and he has enjoyed it ever since. Each page has an animal hidden behind card doors and toddlers simply love opening the doors to reveal the animal behind. Once again these animals give scope for further fun with parents doing the sounds of the animals, which in time children will copy. We found that when we did the animal sounds our little boy would carefully study what sounds we made, leading to our total delight one day when we heard the sound of a dog coming from our little boy.
