This is my daughter's favourite book and ofter has to be read 3 or 4 times in a row. It's the first book to be pulled from the box when she wants a story read to her. At 9 months she is now able to pull the flaps on each page to reveal the knickers...and takes much delight in doing so. I'm only worried that her first word will actually be 'knickers'

My three year old absolutely loves this book - she spends hours playing with it. It is a book that actually turns into a beautiful playset with paper dolls included and many doors and to open and explore. I have given it as a gift several times to many compliments - very unique! A great book for the 2 year old and up set. Also great for interactive parent and child play.

Both my son (now 20 months) and his cousin (3 years) were totally sold on Maisy from the onset through this lift-the-flap book. At bedtime, it is always the favourite choice and never fails to get squeals of delight and keep them both enthraled. This book has always helped to develop my son's vocabulary and has given his cousin the opportunity to play imagination games as she changes the situations and hiding places of the animals each time she reads the book.

My sister bought this beautiful book for my 7-year old daughter. Whether you are a fan of the Cicely Mary Barker books or not, this book can't fail to delight any girl who likes fairies. Every page has a different place where fairies can be found, and the pop-ups are incredibly detailed with holes to peek into, flaps to lift and things to fascinate every time the book is opened. Even though this book is a pop-up book I wouldn't recommend it for young children as the intricate pages could be damaged by eager little fingers!

Money for old rope is the expression that springs to mind. Rod Campbell has a real niche in the lift-the-flap book market. His books have generally been very popular in our house so I ordered this to add to the collection. Each page has a gift-wrapped flap with a picture of a present underneath. There is a small amount of text describing the present. If it wasn't for the illustrations of Christmas wrapping paper I would have thought I was re-reading "My Presents" which is fairly tedious to begin with. Still, the children like it. It adds a small amount of variety when it's brought out in December with the other Christmas stories.

I have two pre-schoolers and they love this book. The flaps are sometimes tricky for them to open but they love seeing what is behind each one. Its a great prompt for discussion and learning. Not just for youngsters, it provides a fantastic wealth of information and I'm sure it will be a book that will last well through childhood. Multiple reading is not so bad for the adult either as the children open the flaps in any order. I agree that some care needs to be taken with the flaps but this is easily taught. I couldn't recommend it more.

My daughter loves Maisy and friends and would choose to have this book read to her every night. On each page there are different weather scenes with movable flaps and sections that are great for little fingers to play with (under guidance). Some of the moveable parts have now been pulled too strongly,but have been repaired! The vibrant colours are great for small children and sound effects my husband makes whilst reading this, has added to the fun my daughter has with the book.
