My son Daniel and I love this little board book. It is just the right size and robust enough for him to be involved in holding and turning the pages. There are also small board flaps which assist the unfolding story. The illustrations have a gorgeous warmth and the colouring of the book has a creamy ochre tone and earthy colours which capture the woodland feel of the story. The story is of a little bear in bright red waist coat, writing letters to his friends and delivering them each at their different homes around the wood. There is a sense of anticipation until all the letters are delivered and then, delightfully, one of the flaps becomes that of an envelope which you open to invite you and bear's friends to come to his party. ... Excellent first book. My daughter is 16 months and loves this book its always the first one picked from the book shelf.I think its the fact it is a handy size, brightly coloured and has flaps that she can lift. I love it too the rhymes are hilarious. Thoroughly recommend it.

This series of books are great fun to read and keep young ones amused with the lift up flaps. These are a favourite in our house at bedtime.

I loved this colourful, well-presented 'lift-the-flap' book for 4 to 7 year olds. It looks at the major world religions in a balanced way showing some similarities between them and the important aspects of each one. There is a poster at the back with the main festivals of each religion. Subsequently it promotes understanding and tolerance of religion amongst little ones. This would be an excellent book in any home or classroom.

This is a lovely version of this book but I find that the pop-ups distract my two 3-year olds from the story. We got this as a present, and I personally would haver prefered a plain version of the book. Also, the children find it quite difficult to get some of the animations to work and pull in the wrong direction too strongly, so that inevevitably we are seeing some wear and tear after only 2 months.

My 18-month old twin nephews received this book for Christmas. On the strength of 'Diggers' we also purchased 'Farms' and 'Trucks' for my daughter. The books are beautifully illustrated, especially the scenes behind the 'lift the flaps'. The hard books are also sturdy enough for corners to be chewed. The flaps are also easy for small fingers to lift and there is plenty of action happening on each page to keep little ones engaged. I was concerned the trucks, diggers and trains theme might be too 'boy' biased, but my little girl loves them! A highly recommended purchase.

We love this book - my two year old loves the lion and we read it over and over again. It's particularly good during the potty training phase as it's not too long but keeps them really interested whilst waiting for the wee wee to come! Would definitely recommend these books as they have lovely rhymes and really good pop-ups. Well done Jack Tickle!

This book is excellent. My daughter (6) now knows more about grammar than me! She loves the pop-ups and flaps. This book is well worth its price.

Not as impressive as "Duck in the truck" or "captain duck" but still one of the better childrens books around. I thought this book was alot simplier than the other "duck" books, my daughter can get more involved by lifting the flaps. A great little read, that you'll end up reading hundreds of times.
