As they say in Dragon's Den, "..let me tell you where I am". My experience - I am new to both Apple and Logic 8, and invested in both as technology was now able to cover my lack of formal music training. After a months of 'playing' it was clear that the logic Pro 8 manual which comes with the package is well written, but does not offer up any projects or walkthroughs for you. This book does just that. I thought that I was using maybe 25% of Logic's capabilities starting "raw" and self taught, but having only gone through 3 lessons so far on this book, I am surprised at what I did not know, even on basic inputs. I am a current sport therapy student at university. This is the book that we were recommended by top physiotherapist. This book is easy to read and easy to understand, it will teach you everything you will need to know and has clear and easy to flow photos of how to treat different injuries that your client might have. It is well worth the money

I saw some of the TV series on which this book is based and found it utterly fascinating so I just had to buy the book to find out the bits I missed on TV. The title makes it sound very gruesome and whilst some of the techniques covered live up to this title the way it is written makes it very enjoyable and entertaining to read without making you feel in the least bit queazy. It really highlights the way the surgical techniques we have today have been founded on the ideas of pioneers who came up with inventions ranging from the astounding to the downright bizarre and morally questionable. Throughout the book I was constantly asking myself "how on earth did they come up with that?!" These really are people who were prepared to try absolutely anything ... Read More:

An absolutely vital handbook that helped me significantly through medical school. Although it's nowhere near as comprehensive as separate textbooks are, it's an invaluable aide memoir that does go into significant detail.

Not much to say really.. this is a great book for somebody who has no experience of using a computer or wants a refresher of the basics. A great place to start off but probably a little too basic if you have some computing experience.
