This is an excellent book which helps give insight onto many subjects which really help understand how we work as people, it's highly reccomended reading which will make you look at the world around you in a completely different way. The reason why it doesn't get the fifth star is because not all sociology related subjects are covered (not much of a problem as I can only think of two at the moment and when the book does give information on the subject it's really interesting and will keep you hooked)The next problem is that this book's language can be quite complex (but that's not much of a problem as a dictionary is easily accesible). I really enjoyed this book. It's interesting, entertaining and practical and it contains some great tips and anecdotes to help illustrate the points made. The book also shows you how to put the tips into practice in different situations such as dating, interviewing and playing politics. Body Language for Dummies is a valuable resource and I will certainly be using it for reference in the future.

My 10-year old stepdaughter started her first period while staying with us for the summer. I was worried about her comfort level with me in regards to the subject. I found this book in the local library and it was perfect. It is written in a straight-forward, but very comfortable manner. She read it front to back in about an hour, then she came to me and we looked through it together. It made conversation on the subject of puberty very easy. I learned things that nobody ever told me. I give it two THUMBS UP !!

Its a very good book covering all areas very well. A good accompanyment to a BA Early Years Education.

This book has a good message and it is interesting and dear Joe is immensely likeable but, like someone else has mentioned here, the way in which it's written gets in the way slightly. It's a bit like watching an American show over here in the UK where you can see where the ad breaks were scheduled. I kept feeling as though he was recapping for the benefit of anyone who had happened to find themselves in say, Chapter 5 and hadn't read the preceeding pages. There is alot of 'hey check my other stuff out!' and 'hey look here's another of my websites!' which credit to him is an important aspect of marketing but it got in the way. The concept spoken of here is valuable but I did feel it could've been written in a more concise manner and edited more tightly. ... Read More:

I've read lots of this kind of stuff before but this was brilliant. Paul's approach is readable, funny and can really make a significant impact on your life. It's a quick, enjoyable read that you'll come back to time and time again.

If you are interested about justice, sociology and society you should some day read this excellent story of how control over people has changed within last five hundred years. Perhaps mr Foucault was inspired by Orwell's 1984 and turned it to be scientifically consistent theory or control. Great thing is that you don't need to be scientist to understand about this book which means that it must have been hard work to make the text sound as easily to comprehend.
