Books like this are a disgrace to the industry, which is serious one, and they only sell because of the laddish title. The good news is that the only people who buy them are..., you've guessed it! And no, I haven't bought it, but I looked inside when I saw it on a bookshelf. The contents and the cover match perfectly. Need I say more? Oh, yes, I have rated the book 1 star because the software wouldn't accept any less.

If you search on youtube for "the art of looking sideways" you'll come across a 10 minute interview with the late Alan Fletcher. The man was clearly a visionary and apparently loved his Mac ;-) If you're not into graphic design that much (like me) yet you're into philosophy or psychology, marketing or coaching, leadership or teaching or any other field where the human condition is front & center you'll still find lots of wonderful things in this book, if only by reading the quotes and the stories. This book has been created by a discovering man, a collecting man and especially a listening and thinking man. He supposedly worked 18! years on this book. This guide book is the best I've read. The advice was invaluable and I trusted the recommendations, especially when it came to accommodation. It very quickly became my travelling companion and I followed its advice as much as I could. Don't leave home without it!

As someone who has been buying and devouring Halliwell's since the first edition back in 1977, I find it disappointing to see Walker requesting that his name is removed from the credits - almost as disappointing as the disdain with which the publishers increasingly treat this once great movie bible. The two elements that set Halliwell's apart from the rest are the star rating system and the use of italics to denote outstanding performance. In the latest edition, the former is ill-used and the latter is dispensed with altogether. Yes, Leslie Halliwell was a reactionary old grump who hated pretty much everything post 1969, but that was part of his charm, bless 'im. This book is an absolute must have for all Bond/Craig fans. The photos are stunning, high quality and rarely seen elsewhere.
