Not many secrets here, thats just a sales come on. Some usefull beginners info but sadly let down by the appalling print quality, this is a PHOTOGRAPHY book you know, the quality of the images should be much better than this!! May appeal if you want to be a 'shooter' too!

Not many secrets here, thats just a sales come on. Some usefull beginners info but sadly let down by the appalling print quality, this is a PHOTOGRAPHY book you know, the quality of the images should be much better than this!! May appeal if you want to be a 'shooter' too!

We bought this atlas as a replacement for our 1999 AZ version. In comparison, we found it less useful for our purpose (mainly for touring). Particularly annoying is the lack of landscape information (topography, woodland) and the absence of the location of smaller settlements. On the plus side, in comparison with the AZ version, it does separately distinguish National Trust properties from others. However, we did not check out the current AZ version before buying the AA atlas, so it may also do so now. The additional information on satnav references and the location of permenant speed cameras may be useful for more gadget-minded, less law-abiding motorists.

I have just received this book from Amazon this morning and couldn't believe just how beautiful it is.So often with books I have read reviews and been slightly disappointed by the real thing-not so today. It is superbly made with stunning pop-ups and small chunks of accessible text by way of small information books -all with their own pop-ups.My children aged 7 and 4 have absolutely loved it and I am on here to order some more copies as birthday presents.A book that will be treasured!

This guide book is the best I've read. The advice was invaluable and I trusted the recommendations, especially when it came to accommodation. It very quickly became my travelling companion and I followed its advice as much as I could. Don't leave home without it!

This book is over 2100 pages long and includes some appendices such as a small guide to good English and lists of such things as countries of the world and British Prime Minsters. The combination of pronunciation, definitions and word derivation is more than sufficient for my needs and probably for most other people's too except for those engaged in specialist linguistic or literary studies.
