He's dedicated to his sport, hates publicity and is very down to earth. Compared to other autobiographies, this book is not as interesting. But, then again, he's still very young and hopefully there will be a few more chapters about his future success. If you are really into Rugby, I suppose you will love this book, but if Rugby is just a mild interest, it will not be as good as read as I hoped it would be. Saying that, it will demonstrat the dedication and focus you need to reach the top. So, for aspiring Rugby players, buy it!

An excellent, easy to read and well researched book by that rarity, a Scouse rugby league supporter. Mike Brocken manages to bring to life the history of the club through numerous interviews with fans, ex-players and officials. Brocken takes you through the early years of Northern Union in Liverpool and the various changes in the club's location and identity: Wigan Highfield, London Highfield, Liverpool Stanley, Liverpool City, Huyton and Runcorn finishing with the club's demise as Prescot Panthers. We also get a wonderful feel for the camaraderie within the club, even though from the outside it was seen as a failure. No arguments here - its a very comprehensive beginners guide as well as being a great reference point for those who have some experience, but dont know the ins and outs of all aspects of this complex game. I found it very useful as an experienced rugby spectator who is making the transition to the pitch - its hepled me come to terms with the experience on the field without having to ask my team mates stupid questions.
