Have you ever flipped a coin 100 times to see the sequence of heads and tails that comes up? If you have, you know that there can be long streaks of heads and tails. Random results that end up 50-50 don't look that way in the short term. Human perception is such that we like to find patterns where none exist. I have found this textbook really helpful in my studies. The full audio version on the CDROM, is great for remembering all the muscles and other difficult body parts all my class mates struggled on. I would say if you are studying Anatomy and Physiology as part of your course, get this book.

I read this book whilst training for an endurance event and found the tales of personal involvement in endurance events, backed up by the explaination of what is happeing to you whilst taking part in these types of events helpful and reassuring. The best bit was knowing, from reading this book, that three hours into an event and running up a mountain the other reason why you are breathing like a steam train is because your body has just started using fat as a source of energy and not just past it! A very informative, useful and well written book.

I found myself so much in toads situation, a friend gave me this book. I hadn`t read a paper or watched tv for weeks, I read this book in a couple of days! This book is not only useful to inspiring herons but also to us depressed toads. I loved this book and am now in agreement to attend for counselling,couldn`t recommend it highly enough! An insight from cover to cover.

This remarkable book gives an incredibly clear account of asperger's and its impact on people around them. It is easy to read yet gives the most profound insights and cause for joy and optimism. A diagnosis of Aspergers is not the end of the world but a way of accessing the genius and talents that can go with it. If you know people who may be on the autistic spectrum it gives you a way of understanding and enjoying them and seeing the truth beneath a way of being that can make people hard to know. Reading the book has been an eyeopener for me, I have always enjoyed being with unusual people and now understand why.

Having for the last two years been a student of the integrative approach with an emphasis on the humanistic paradigm, I was fascinated by Roger's own journey and reasoning behind his Core Conditions as well as his presentation of the humanistic paradigm in its original form. My only criticisms of this book are it's repetitiveness (better editing required in bringing together the constituent papers) and it's verbosity, which only serves to obfuscate the subject matter.

Huge waste of money. Science book in the same series is fantastic. This sadly was a great let down. No differentiation, and although some good ideas, meant a lot of time needed to be used with this book to adapt it to suit the needs of a working classroom. You'd be better of thinking of the ideas from scratch.
