This isn't a story about the rules of the game, but a how to, pick up guide for men. It's about getting out there and getting it done. It is the how to guide that most men should read. It leaves out the BS and gives you the nuts and bolts. A high recommend, along with Chicks: A User's Guide to Dating, Love and Sex.

An eye-opening look at how the globalisation of organised crime effects day-to-day life-whether we like it or not.

The timing of the liberalistion of the international financial markets and the coincidental collapse of communism in central and eastern Europe and the USSR means that the face of crime has changed for ever.

And as the author points out, so long as the profits are so big and demands for illegal products so high, no amount of policing can ever stamp it out. In fact, the more resources poured in to the "War on Crime", the bigger organised crime becomes......

I usually don't like books about how psychology as I find that they too often put people into boxes. Having said that I found this a book really good read and it helped me think more about the affect of my actions on my husband and how he responds to me and also what my hopes and expectations are and how to communicate them. A book can't ever cover everything but I found this insightful, constructive and applicable. A lesson in life and love that I won't forget.

55.Payback: Debt and the Shadow Side of Wealth by: Margaret Atwood

This little book, as attractive in its format as in its verbal felicity, is based on a series of lectures about debt. They must have been memorable. It is not about the credit crunch - although the book's publication is timely - but about the imaginary constructions underlying concepts of indebtedness in the widest sense. Using folklore, religion, ancient history, literature, computer simulations and experiments in animal behaviour, Atwood shows that a sense that there should be balance and fairness in relations between debtors and creditors lies deep in the human psyche and that when this is absent, things turn nasty. This applies even among the higher animals, as shown by a fascinating experiment in which monkeys were taught to trade stones for bananas. She concludes ... Read More:

This is an inspiring book full of FREE ideas to make the weekend more fun as well as a few aspirational thoughts that we can all dream about.
In response to The Kitten review, you are wrong in your presumptions about this author. I happen to know that Elspeth Thompson lives in a modest creative looking house in BRIXTON South East London, a far cry from Notting Hill. I for one can't see the credibility of living in a bedsit in Hackney, inverted snobbery me thinks.

Although i may appear biased as i have been fortunate enough to have been lectured (stats lecture) by Andy Field I honestly beleive that this book is a MUST for all psychology students around the world who will be using SPSS at some point in their psychology careers! It is simple, witty, funny, and makes stats easy to understand. Brilliant book! =]

My name is Gary Shane McGill and I am involved in the sale of patented ice cream, milkshake and smoothie systems. I picked this book because I wanted to enhance my perception with clients, since we can get so wound up with our beliefs systems that we might not realize what the other person might be thinking, so I have found that I can now see the signals to give me an indication about putting the client at ease.

You don't learn this kind of stuff at graduate school because this should be packed away as a Business Survival 101 essential requirement (at least in my opinion). It is far more than knowledge because it is about creating your own personal brand equity, which does not naturally come easy to us all, but by being more aware about what is going on we can hopefully inject our ... First off, the mystery method is a well written, well laidout, thorough, clever, helpful book. It allows you to understand certain things about women which make sense and explains step by step how to pick up a woman that you want. The bad reviews it has got are hugely uncalled for, some of the reasons suggested in the bad reviews are things like, theres not enough examples, but not everything can be spoon fed, you need to think of things for yourself and see what works for you, also if there were lots of great examples then there would be a robot army of PUA saying the same things, similar to what was explained in the game. another reason for the bad reviews are due to people thinking its about manipulation, NO ITS NOT! it can be used to manipulate, but using a lines from the film 'Hitch'.....'any man can ...
