I have just taken my test last Friday and I passed first time! I finished the test in less than 2 minutes. I bought this book just to see how i was doing after having finished studying the original purple study guide book provided by the home office.
This book has been very helpful. You also get free access to their website when you buy this book. Compared to other websites the questions in this book and their website are very similar to the questions in the real test and there are no nonsense questions. Most questions are purely based on the study guide and I haven't seen any wrong answers to questions.
For as long as you don't miss anything from chapters 2-6, you will definitely pass the test.
I would recommend it to anyone ... Read More:

This book is based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), which basically sets out to help you become aware of where you are thinking unrealistically (or just plain wrongly), and to replace these thoughts with helpful and more realistic ones.

I was really scared for a fair while that this book wouldn't help me, but actually it has, and loads. By about half-way through, I was daring to believe people actually loved me, I was approaching groups of people and joining in with the conversation, and being open about who I am - and starting to enjoy doing so, and not assuming everyone disliked me.

However, you need to know that this book is sometimes difficult to read, and to change will be hard. This is not a book that you "read". ... Read More:

Fairly well written, and as someone who has no prior background in this field, it was easy to understand and descriptive enough to be interesting. it was not too technical that i got bogged down with terms, unlike some other neurology books i've read.

I am a mature student and was advised to buy this when I started my Access to HE course many years ago. I dutifully went and bought it alongside The Good Study Guide by Andrew Northedge and I have to say that this book is worth its weight in gold compared to the book by Northedge. This is not a comparison so I shall move on to say that every aspect of study - whether its organizing your time, planning backwards from deadlines, learning how you study best or even looking at personal development is covered in this excellent resource. It is designed in a user-friendly way which allows you to either read it all the way through or dip in and out of it depending on your needs. The book is designed in a clever way with charts, pictures, examples etc and it's glittered with funny ... Taking the book with me on the bus or at the Waitrose checkout or at the barbers shop or Sussex University its title attracts attention. In the brief encounters which follow I enjoy speaking to parents whose infants obviously enjoy what's going on with the adults. I'm able to affirm that the love care and attention they give the child in those early years do make a difference and will set her up for life. To older people, and I am elderly, I speak of the 'forgiving space' that Sue Gerhart gives me in which to understand my chequered life. As Kierkegaard said 'Life must be lived foward, but it can only be understood backwards.'

I can't recommend this book enough. I loved 'The Game' by Neil Strauss, but being British, I didn't really feel comfortable spieling off lines and routines and I'm not sure how well they would have worked over here in the UK. So it was great to find out that there was someone like Richard La Ruina over here who was teaching people how to be good with women in a natural way, rather than a pick up artist way.

I found this book to be really interesting, thoughtfully written, funny in places, and poignant in others. It details a totally honest and almost unbelievable account of how someone can transform themselves from being a social misfit into a modern day Casanova.

What I really liked about his book was that it focuses on self improvement whilst being ... Read More:

A lot has been said already about this book over the years since it first hit the shelves, and I'm not sure I can offer any new information. I believe everybody should either read this book or books like it. We all need a greater understanding; not just of others (our partners, family and friends), but also of ourselves.

The more compatible a couple naturally is the better they will get on. That's just logical. But sometimes we need to be aware of, and reminded of, the differences between men and women so they ae are more tolerant and understanding; particularly during rough patches of life.

Dr. John Gray offers a great insight into these differences and tackles the subject matter in an informative, but at the same time, light-hearted and fun manner. I enjoyed this ... Read More:

This books contains some useful insights.
Still, it is very clear that it is just meant to be a quick way of multiplying the sales channels of what the author has already said in other books; it comes so far as to partially consist of transcriptions of seminaries with much blabla and nothing that is not a repetition of what was already said.

Also not pleasing is the constant self advertising of the author and promotion of his other books, internet sites etc. A bit would still go if made with class and decency, but in my eyes this was not the case here.

All in all, I would not spend the money again for this book and do not consider it a good investment.

This book on Spanish verb tenses is the best I've ever seen. In fact, it is probably the only book of its kind. I haven't seen any other books like this one, probably because it would be a waste of time for someone else to write a book like this.

The book first explains the present tense in great detail. It explains how the present tense is used in every possibleway. Although, it doesn't explain that the present tense is often used to convey a future action more often than the actual future is.

Richmond's explanation of the past tenses is also very good, but I didn't like how the imperfect and the preterit were explained. What I did like was how the author explains that the irregular preterit conjugations have predictable patterns.

The subjunctive is explained towards the ... Read More:
