Love the book, however a number of pages in my copy havent printed and are left blank; between pages 1070 and 1100. Has anyone else had this problem?

Even though it was valuable for me to learn what is really going on, I read this book with a mixture of revulsion and horror. I was certainly shocked to learn about the tripartite economic recipe - privatisation, deregulation, and cutbacks in social welfare spending - repeatedly used around the world by a so-called democracy via highly non-democratic means. In the early years, the primary shock vehicle was dictatorial military force and accompanying fear of - and actual mass use of - arrest, torture, disappearance, or death. I was interested in buying this and saw one out for demonstration, so i thought i'd test it out before i bought it. Lucky i did! I thought of a racoon and began the game. It began promising, asking sensible questions, then went totally off the point. It never got it in 20 questions and only got it on the 25 question, which i felt was a bit of a cheat. I tried again with something simple, but this time, it never got it. I was glad when the words "you win" came up on the screen and it turned itself off, probably because it was embarrassed! At that point, i had to leave, which i felt glad to do, and was very glad i tried it before i bought it. Coming from Guernsey, and having family who lived through the Occupation, I thought that this book might give me a different perspective on what life was like after the Occupation had ended, a period that is often overlooked even here on the island. Styled as a series of letters between a London-based author, her friends and a group of Guernsey book aficionados, I was afraid that I might find it hard to engage with any of the characters emotionally as in my experience first-person letters can't convey the same sense of emotion that can be gained by well-worded, third-person prose. The Smartest Giant in Town My 3 year old son loves this story, he will request it again and again and it always holds his attention and he will listen intently. I have noticed he will attempt to read the story to himself assisted by the colourful images. For those who liked the Gruffalo this is another fantastic childrens story by Julia Donaldson and is well worth having in your child's collection; From an adult prespective its also enjoyable to read.
