When you find yourself being directed towards motorways that do not exist in you book of maps then you know it is time to buy a new one! The AA Road Atlas does exactly what it says on the cover - super clear mapping. The town plans are useful too. No excuse for ever getting lost in Spain again.

No, really, don't! I read it yesterday during my breaks on a course I was on, but, unfortunately, did not realize for some time that the other people in the room, all strangers, were giving me some very odd looks and edging away because, totally engrossed and loving another Leader Classic I was laughing out loud, often, and loudly. Oh dear. However, those warnings in mind, I would absolutely recommend this one. It's very short but very, very funny. Trust me. It is.

Forget the tourist uniform of backpack and Lonely Planet/Rough Guide in hand.... you're going to need both hands to carry all the 'bargains' that the salesmen of Marrakech have so considerately helped you spend your money on! This is a tremendous little guidebook to carry in your pocket as you wander round Marrakech. The old Medina is a rabbit-warren of alleyways (you WILL get lost, so enjoy the experience!), so to have a well thought out little book like this on you is a real help. It is just the right size (and weight!) to slip into the leg pocket of your combat trousers or back pocket of your jeans, and has just enough practical information about sights of interest, shopping, restaurants etc etc, to keep you busy. For my first trip to Cuba, this book was pretty accurate, up to date and informative in terms of places to visit, tourist attractions, what to do and where to go. It gives you useful advice on how much you are expected to tip, what to expect of the country and how to get around and where to go which was very useful. The only negative aspect of this book was probably the design layout. It covers a vast majority of aspects of Cuba which can be a lot to get through, the layout is quite difficult to read and its mostly black and white columns of writing do not make it appealing. As it is written from first hand experience it is definitely a very useful book for first time traveller's however a lot of the entertainment they had suggested for Havana, no one had heard ... I bought this item for a work colleague who was travelling on her dream holiday to Mexico. I looked through this and thought wow, what a really good journal! They're sections for photos, tickets, souvenirs etc and note pages for remembering those forgotten items or special moments. My friend loved the book...I'm just waiting for her to return to share her experience with me. Good value for what you get.
