I'm 12 years old and I bought this book along with The Girls' Doodle Book and Beautiful Doodles and I have to say I cannot put it down! There are hundreds of doodles to complete and create, some examples are: Make the house scary, Who has eaten the leaves?, Who is he following?, What a view!, fill the flower shop and disguise me. This is a great book for boys and girls of all ages and I'm even sure full grown adults would love it!! This is a must have book and I definitely give it 5 stars. x

There are tons of books about various painting techniques out there, but it's surprising how few books about the basics of learning to draw there are. The ability to draw realistically is the bedrock from which an artist should build, and BB has produced a work here that could take you from a fumbling amateur to an accomplished artist (IF and only if you are willing to put a lot of time in). I will avoid hubris by not attempting to rate "the Odyssey" per se! My five stars are for the translation by E.V. Rieu in the Penguin Classics edition, updated by his son and Peter Jones to make it even more readable for the current generation. The transparent, joyful prose makes this a superb experience for child or adult. It doesn't read like a translation. There is no tortured struggle with the Greek. There are no King James' bible archaisms. I can't see how it could be made more accessible or joyful for modern readers. If a teenager watches a film of this epic and asks for the "book version", give them this this! They will instantly get the message that the film version is never better than the original book. Didn't read this copy, but I have read the play and it's great. Although fairly old-fashioned, it's very easy to keep up with for young readers. Also came in perfect condition. Recommended buy.

I dont often write reviews but after recieving a 100% for my last asssignment by using this book, i thought i must write something. (My previous grades had ranged from 70-85%, so this was an incredible jump which i could never have dared hope for. In all of my assignments i knew my subject and was familiar with the various studies, but structuring and knowing how to put it all together is a different ballgame altogether. This is where Redman's book comes in. This book was recommended to me by my tutor and every time i've gone through it, i'm always taking something new. The Lucy Pinder 2009 calendar is one Lucy's best so far, I really liked her 2008 calendar release but the 2009 calendar just improves on it and I for one am very pleased with the results! However based upon a previous reviews/reviewers there may be some people who will not fully appreciate this calendar because it does not show Lucy topless throughout or naked and for people who feel that way are just being unreasonable and at the end of the day comments like that are not really conductive. Also try to understand that Lucy is a person and deserves more respect and shouldn't be stereotyped in whatever she does. This book is the best book to sharpen your calculation skills. Very easy to understand calculations with given examples and formulas. Practicing the exercises in different sections that include a review of basic calculations, dosage of oral medications, drug dosage for injection, intravenous infusion, paediatric dosages and summary exercises with the answers. I recommend this book for all who are involved in drug calculations.It is execellent+++++.

I must confess I bought it only attracted by the price (at that time, almost half price) with no positive expections. When I received it, I letterally divoured it! Great quilts, using jelly rools, but it also provides table conversions to other cuts of fabrics and quilt measurements, It's spuring me to sew my first double-size bed quilt!

I bought this book just over a week ago and set about making one of the projects straight away. The book is lovely to look at (I spent hours just pondering the possibilities!) and is very clear and detailed. I made one of the necklaces tonight (couldn't wait for all the supplies to arrive!!) and although I couldn't get the exact beads in the make up of this necklace, my necklace looks just as good and I couldn't be more pleased. Definitely a good first buy if you want to start out in making beaded jewellery. I've now got the bug and the possibilities, using this book alone, are endless!

One of the best biographies i have ever read. Beautifully written and fascinating even for someone like me who had little previous interest in either architecture or the nineteenth century.
