I've walked the Penzance-Plymouth section using this book. It's really useful with maps of the entire path, we had maps for some of the section but I don't think they're neccessary if you've got this book. Would be useful if it had lists of accomodation (rather than vague comments like 'a range of accomodation') although that would make it much heavier, so maybe its a bonus! Really handy. Quite glad to be honest that it didn't have estimated walking times as that just depresses those slow walkers among us! Will definitely continue to use it when I do the rest of the path.

My partner and I used this guide while completing the camino in May 2007 and August 2008. The limitations of the guide were obvious last year but as it did contain some useful information, e.g. the distances between vilages we took it with us again this year supplemented by the Confraternity of St James 2008 acommodation guide. From observing other publications while we were there and also research on the net it seems as if there are a lot more useful guides out there. One crucial ommission relates to contour levels and hence level of difficulty and timings between vilages. The pilgrim office at St Jean Pied de Port gives out a useful sheet with this information which many people use. As the previous reviewer says too much space is used giving ... Read More:

Three weeks in Sept/Oct gave us plenty of time to benefit from the routes in Walk Menorca. Everything worked just as described except the Forts Ancient & Modern where the military have evicted the hippies and re-occupied the Lluc al Lari fort; unfortunately. We particularly like the routes linking the resorts and the North coast region. Such beautiful contryside but when the book says it is tough as on the route to Es Grau it really does mean it and without the book you would be unlikely to reach this delightful little settlement. We also bought the Tour & Trail Map which was equally brilliant. Thinking a Menorca author would be more up to date we bought a local booklet - it was useless, not one route worked, some decidedly dangerous ... Read More:
