The zionists have been using dubious claims about the events of World War 2 to justify their own holocaust against the unfortunate Palestinians. These disgusting people have to be removed from the middle east and speaking out in word, action and deed is the way we are going to achieve this.

History books do not normally make for a riveting read, but this has to be an exception! If you have read and enjoyed Suite Francaise read this - it has the same thought-provoking immediacy and will stay with you for a long time. The author has tracked down the unknown and unsung stories of ordinary people living in the eastern Pyrenees during WW II and the hardships and sacrifices they endured can at times be unbearably sad.

Painstakingly researched, Rosemary Bailey has sensitively teased out, and preserved for posterity, the personal testimonies of survivors (now elderly and often reluctant to talk) whose stories could have been lost forever. A chronological account of the course of the war in France is seamlessly interwoven with ... Read More:

233.Schindler's List by: Thomas Keneally
February 17, 1994
Average Rating: out of 5 stars

>>More Details
Books : Schindler's List
Thomas Keneally's Booker Prize-winning, fictionalized biography of Oskar Schindler memorializes a member of the Nazi party who endangered his own life for four years, working privately to save Jews from the death camps. A playboy who loved fine wines and foods, he was also a smooth-talking manipulator (and briber) of Nazi officials, as well as a clever entrepreneur, already on his way to stunning financial success by the early days of World War II. Nowhere in Schindler's background are there any hints that he would one day become the savior of eleven hundred Jewish men and women.

While the excellent film of this novel concentrates on the dangers Schindler and "his Jews" faced daily throughout the war, Keneally, well known for his depictions ... Read More:

A disappointing book, given the exciting subject matter. The different authors recounting their experiences gives it a disjointed feel and some are clearly better story tellers than others. The precise, repetitive 'Civil Service' language is wearing to read.

Comprehensive summary of the Nazi extermination program, its beginnings, development, and full-scale execution. Friedländer links the usual Nazi bureaucratic-organizational perspective with the major events of the war, the actions of the collaborationist regimes, of the Catholic church and of the Allies, of all major actors affecting the progression of events, together with letters from perpetrators and diaries of the victims into one terrifying and gripping tale about the plight of European Jewry during WWII. It is at times hard to go on reading, especially when you reach one of the many final diary entries in the book before the victim's deportation and death. Friedländer's explanation as to the ultimate source of the Holocaust, the superstitious view of ... Read More:

This is a review of the events of World War II (WWII) and its impact on the stock market worldwide. This work is of great interest since we live in post 9/11 era filled with conflict, threat of another world war and increasing scarcity of resources. The book chronicles the history of death, destruction and the grim realities of WWII in great detail and its impact on stock market in both losing and winning countries. Stock markets were always one step ahead of actual events in estimating, analyzing, and deciphering the economic future through changing stock prices. The author suggests that investor crowd always had a great intuitive wisdom and imagination: Stock markets are like voting machines.

There are some very interesting tales of how stock markets ... Read More:

This is a book solely for those who have read and watched Band of Brothers, and have been left wanting to know more. Ideally, I would have liked more on Winters during his time in Easy Company, but the parts on his early life and what he did after the war help to give a better picture of the man. Biggest Brother also goes into greater detail on the relationship between Winters and Herbert Sobel, something I felt could have been a book in itself. The best thing I can say about this book, all 281 pages, is that I read it in four days. If you are the sort of person who could not put down Band of Brothers, then you will enjoy this look at the man who lead them.
