My 18-month old twin nephews received this book for Christmas. On the strength of 'Diggers' we also purchased 'Farms' and 'Trucks' for my daughter. The books are beautifully illustrated, especially the scenes behind the 'lift the flaps'. The hard books are also sturdy enough for corners to be chewed. The flaps are also easy for small fingers to lift and there is plenty of action happening on each page to keep little ones engaged. I was concerned the trucks, diggers and trains theme might be too 'boy' biased, but my little girl loves them! A highly recommended purchase.

Not as impressive as "Duck in the truck" or "captain duck" but still one of the better childrens books around. I thought this book was alot simplier than the other "duck" books, my daughter can get more involved by lifting the flaps. A great little read, that you'll end up reading hundreds of times.

I am not sure if the subject effects the content, but this was not the best pop up book in the series. It just did not seem as imaginative or fun as the previous books. Still a great learning tool for children though - for fun or for reference.

Coram Boy is set in 18th century England and contrasts lives of the fortunate and unfortunate children of the times. Well written beginning given a horrific picture of child trafficking and murder. Unfortunately it all becomes a bit predictable - abandoned child is reunited with his parents, bad people get their just desserts etc. Not sure which age group this book was aimed at. Concepts such as pregnancy outside marriage, selling of young children into slavery and infanticide suggest it is aimed at 12 - 13 year olds. However the actual writing is very simple and the main boys are aged nine.

I bought this book for my then 9 month old son. He loved it, even till now. It has helped him to learn to identify the various farm animals as well as the concept of 'in' and 'out', and 'open and 'close' - he pulls open and closes the door of the barnyard, putting the animals in and takes them out.

I bought this book for my then 9 month old son. He loved it, even till now. Absolutly fantastic, bought this book for my daughters age 8 and 4 to keep them quiet on a recent holiday. They were totally absorbed, there are plenty of activities for both to do as usual with Klutz they had all they needed with the book to complete the projects. I would recommend this for all age groups. Any child who likes making things will be kept happy for hours and they can play with the things they make afterwards. Brilliant.
