i've used this book for both my maths modular exams now and i think the're excellent. its good because they seperate the book into chunks and also its got exercises at the end of each page. very very good i recommend this to anyone who's fed up with the normal reading revision books.

This book is great for planning and observations it helps link these together and is great for all early years settings. I am a childminder and found it a very useful tool to support the new EYFS.

Has anyone noticed that the cover picture is actually a painting of Romeo & Juliet? It struck me as a bit bizarre really, but otherwise it's a really brilliant edition.

My class really enjoy the starters provided from this series of books - and at only £3 a go, they are an absolute bargain. Each one of them is packed with ideas for starters which, although labelled Y7, Y8 and Y9 are suitable for Upper KS2 into KS3 and lower KS4. This one also includes mental/oral science tasks that can be used with brighter KS2 children. With a little adaptation, even my weaker KS2 children have been able to access some of the tasks - but which of us would consider taking something straight from a book without considering differentiating it to suit the abilities of our children? At the end of most tasks are hints for differentiation which help us to stretch the brighter children through the task or to support the weaker children. ... Read More:

Although supposedly a book for younger audiences, the Wee Free Men would be enjoyable for any Discworld fan no-matter what their age. The book follows Tiffany Aching, a young farmgirl who must deal with an invasion of nightmare creatures, the disappearance of her younger brother and her own burgeoning power. All she has to help her is a frying pan, a book on the Diseases of the Sheep and the Wee Free Men, tough and drunken pictsies who enjoy a good fight. Although the book does get off to something of a bad start it does pick up as you read and it turns into a greatly entertaining story. Like all good resource books, this one needs some adaptation to use on class. I yet have to discover a book that I can use without any adaptation - however, in common with the other books in this series, I find that my class (actually a year 6 class) love the activities that I select from it for them for early morning tasks. Naturally, I choose the tasks with care (what teacher wouldn't?) and adapt them to suit my class (again, what teacher wouldn't?) but, for the basic cost of £3, this resource is packed full of useful ideas which any teacher from Year 6 to year 10 can adapt to suit the children that they teach. This book is brilliant. As a home edeucator and having muddled through teaching my daughter French to GCSE level with a mix of inadequate books I was DELIGHTED to find this one for Spanish. We used it to take both of us from nothing to GCSE Spanish level in four months. It has EVERYTHING you need as well as a brilliant grammar section at the end - I am not keen on the current structureless way of learning languages. The only extra thing you need to do apart from going through this book systematically (out loud), is to download the past papers and mark schemes from AQA, if that is your board,and to get something for the accent - we used an old Collins Spanish (South American)Phrase book - and away you go.
