Got this as a gift for a three year old boy as I loved it so much as a young child. By the end of the day he had already started to learn the rhyhmes. Everything is exactly how you would remember only it's easier for small hands to hold and much more sturdy.

My 4yr old daughter and 2 yr old son love this book. A quality book with realistic sounds and an enjoyable story inside. This book is both entertaining and educational for young children. A very good buy at a fab price!

This is a super CD and both my daughters (9 and 7) have found it really useful. We listen to a different multiplication table each morning on the long and rather tedious car journey to school and it has worked wonders in terms of their times tables. I can thoroughly recommend it (although adults will probably find it increasingly annoying and irritating with each listening!!).

Simple touchy feely book, with big thick board pages and a different texture on each double page and the cover. Each page has a different bear on it (2 pandas, a koala on the cover, a polar bear, honey bear and grizzly) as well as the little mouse to look for every time. The text reads, for example "That's not my bear!.... Its tongue is too scratchy!" until the last page, when you finally find your own bear!! My 1 year old enthusiastically feels each texture and turns the pages, and wants to read this one over and over again. His first word? "Bear"........ I bought this for my son's 6th birthday and if you ask him what his favourite present was he would say this book! He/We have made a telescope, treasure chest, swords, pirate hat... and you don't need much in the way of art supplies to do it. Cardboard (from the recycling), glue, scissors and perhaps paint if you want to go down that route (we did). Book contains lots of pirate stickers for you to stick onto your creations to help them look the part. The instructions are very step by step too (I did struggle a bit with the telescope though). Excellent book for your budding pirate.

I read the reviews and as a Key Stage 2 science teacher I thought it might be useful. The illustrations are tiny and the text is far to advanced (and long winded) for children. Not sure what the other reviewers used theirs for!!!!
