My 2 and half year old loves this book. She has great fun learning the actions to the songs, copying them from the pictures of other children doing the actions. She also loves jigsaws, so it was an excellent combination for her. As a parent, I liked the clear, cheerful pictures too; I didn't know all the actions to the songs either and the pictures helped me to learn them as well! If I had to say something negative, the only thing would be that two of the songs are fairly unknown (well, to me at least), so I don't know the melody to sing them to. But we turned them into little poems and that works just as well.

This is just a cracker! It's become an instant favourite both with Rachel (15 months) and mum and dad. The rhyme itself is great ('bask' said the mother, 'we bask' said the eight')- a lovely rhythm. The pictures are a lot of fun and it's good to see handpainted script too. Herself seems to have learnt to 'dig' and 'swim' out of this book. All in all great fun.
