I have twin girls. One adores this book for the beautiful stories and illustrations and the other who normally runs riot during story time cant get enough of duck spotting! Sounds strange but I take my hat off to the person who thought of hiding a little yellow duck on every page. AT last there is peace at story time and their ability to find socks, toys etc has improved too! I acquired this book second hand but would happily pay full price for another copy should our current one end in tatters.

This is a beautiful book. Not only does it deal with numbers up to 10, but the artwork is a superb illustration of an African village and its surrounding wildlife, with a wonderful surprise ending. My little boy's delighted smile when we re-discover no. 10 each time says it all.

After reading the reviews I thought let me give it a try. My three year old and 23mth old boys both love it! They love the rhymes and the different types of dogs. My three yr old can even tell you the next rhyming word after only a wk reading the stories to them. Its a bed-time treat. I would reccomend it to anyone with babies and toddlers. Its absolutely adorable! I plan to purchase more from this series for my kids later on.

I was captivated by the book corner at a recent primary class I visited, in connection with helping young children cook as part of my course. `Pumpkin Soup' was the source book and `the corner' was alive with the green and gold shades of Autumn, and pictures/poems about the three lovable characters, with some amazing attention to detail even down to the bag-pipes! It proved an excellent platform for a project and the children couldn't hide their delight in acting out their little pieces - it sure brought a tear to the eye. I've never given a bad review, however out of all the books my 3 year old has this has got to be the worst....yes the pictures are good - but the use of the word 'bad baby' doesnt sit with me well....Why are we saying the baby was 'bad'? Because he didnt say thank you or pay? I really think there are lots of books out there for children which make better use of the English language than this one...bad baby - it's awful!

Another lovely reprint of a classic Bestall Rupert Annual. Last year's facsimile was the 1959 annual, why the huge gap? I was not expecting a reprint of the 1960 annual, but there is nothing to offend in the 1961 or 1962 books (one annual contains a story with a jolly Chinese pilot and the other a mysterious stranger wearing a fez!) Come on, Egmont, don't you think you are being a wee bit timid, bring out facsimiles of the 1961 and 1962 annuals, there is nothing wrong with them.

We found this tale of Fox and his search for his clothes lovely and useful. The story is fun. The length of the story and content seems just the right appeal for toddlers (I have a 18m old ) to get interested in learning clothes & then 'getting dressed' too. The lengh of the book seems good for us so that it stays interesting (and usually we like to read it again!). We love 'lift the flap' books too & 'finding the clothes' in this one is fun.

We are also true fans, but the additional Maisy doll really was the icing on te cake! My son is 18 months old, and he really loves it-especially taking off the clothes, and is truly amazed and delighted to see that Maisy has a bellybutton, too!

Well recommended book. Very good descriptive, rhythmic verses. Easy to read and engage children with. Fun family outdoor adventure! Children can sing-a-long too!
