This is a great book, especially for all noisy boys! My little boy liked it from an early age and loved guessing all the noises, and joining in with making a lot of them. It has lots of fun flaps which are easy for little fingers and nice things to spot and talk about on all of the pages. It makes me laugh to see the surprised faces of the boys being accused of making all the noise, and it has a fun ending too.

read with 4 year old. great paper technology. very colourful. looks at the way every body is different. pull out skeleton at the end labelled with proper bone names which daughter likes to learn! she has read it over & over. Am ordering the 'All kinds of Feelings' book for xmas!

Coram Boy is set in 18th century England and contrasts lives of the fortunate and unfortunate children of the times. Well written beginning given a horrific picture of child trafficking and murder. Unfortunately it all becomes a bit predictable - abandoned child is reunited with his parents, bad people get their just desserts etc. Not sure which age group this book was aimed at. Concepts such as pregnancy outside marriage, selling of young children into slavery and infanticide suggest it is aimed at 12 - 13 year olds. However the actual writing is very simple and the main boys are aged nine.

This series of books are great fun to read and keep young ones amused with the lift up flaps. These are a favourite in our house at bedtime.

This book is a complete classic that will delight children from a very early age. We started with this book when our son was about eight months old and he has enjoyed it ever since. Each page has an animal hidden behind card doors and toddlers simply love opening the doors to reveal the animal behind. Once again these animals give scope for further fun with parents doing the sounds of the animals, which in time children will copy. We found that when we did the animal sounds our little boy would carefully study what sounds we made, leading to our total delight one day when we heard the sound of a dog coming from our little boy. This bright and colorful book (like all Maisy stories by Lucy Cousins) keeps my 22-months old daughter very interested almost every night. All the Maisy books we own are favorites (of hers and of my husband and myself!). "Maisy dresses up" is a good addition to "our" Maisy family!

My 18-month old twin nephews received this book for Christmas. On the strength of 'Diggers' we also purchased 'Farms' and 'Trucks' for my daughter. The books are beautifully illustrated, especially the scenes behind the 'lift the flaps'. The hard books are also sturdy enough for corners to be chewed. The flaps are also easy for small fingers to lift and there is plenty of action happening on each page to keep little ones engaged. I was concerned the trucks, diggers and trains theme might be too 'boy' biased, but my little girl loves them! A highly recommended purchase.

This is an amazing, beautiful book. It looks at the world as a garden, looking at plant life and in particular how different plants are used. Highlights include a page showing a garden with a pull-up that shows different plants and what they are used for; a page of lift the flaps showing fruits and vegetables growing and in the more familiar form (i.e. as bought in the shop); three pull out books that show how jeans, rubber tyres and paper are made; a fantastic pop-up of a cargo ship detailing where certain food stuffs come from and other interesting facts (like how much beer and rum sailors drank) and a beautiful pop-up of a flower arrangement with each flower described under a flap.
