I have seen this film on Sky box office HD today And omg its brilliant and it was worth it for £3.99. Colin Farrell just keeps getting better as the film goes on. but what i find upsetting in this movie is a lot of homophobic swearing. as i am a gay male (21) i find this really offensive. but overall this movie was great and Colin Farrell is so hot and a sexy hunk. I am going to buy this on dvd soon as i want to watch it again in a few weeks. if you have not seen this movie then i sugest you buy this as its worth every money.

I give this film 10/10

Loosely based on the ancient tale of the 6th century hero, Beowulf is a brilliantly made film that is beautifully animated using Motion Capture techniques and is a greatly entertaining film. The film follows the traditional story relatively closely for the first part of the film but it does veer off on its own path after the death of Grendel. Although the changes that have been made do make this film something of a different animal to the original story but it remains exciting and I also doubt that a more faithful adaptation would be as well appreciated by modern audiences.

The computer animation used to make the fill is also truly spectacular, easily outdoing the previous usages of the Motion Capture technique such as Polar Express. ... Read More:

28 Days Later was a great film and was a cute reminder of how basic we could be; Creme De Menthe and candles, Budgens booze counter, say no more. As for the film, great! To film London deserted was a feat in itself. The storyline was conventional (zombies/virus), but the way it was portrayed was exceptional. As for 28 Weeks Later, well, it was definitely a follow-on, but with it's own twist. The ending being the destruction of Europe by those saved at all costs was good. Will we see a third film..? I never really got the nack of 3 hour films, 'Lord of the rings' etc. but Troy is a powerful action packed film with plenty of hard fighting.
Troy is an 'Epic' you may find the term when you look at Kingdom of heaven, Gladiator or Master and Commander. I can clearly see Troy up with films like that. As for the film iself, it has an amazing cast and i was surprised to see Sean Bean as well since i didnt read the small print lol bu yeah and it featured Peter O'toole who ive seen in many other films. As for the special effects, what can i say it looked real from the start, the fighting was was gorey from what you might of seen in Gladiator like Stab, Chopped heads of etc.
A long time ago i saw the orignal cut of Troy and i was not impressed but with ... Read More:

The 194-minute director's cut of Kingdom of Heaven gives the film more room to breathe, but it won't make converts of the unbelievers. Instead, it's a more leisurely paced version of the film for the faithful who liked the theatrical cut and want to revisit its world and characters in a little more detail. Closer in style and tone to sixties roadshows than Scott's Gladiator, and all the better for it, in many ways it's the richest and most ambitious of the recent batch of epics. It's more of a journey in the extended version, and a bloodier one (the added violence will please the gore hounds), although there are a few moments that tip over into self-indulgence and could have been tightened or omitted entirely.

The extended opening allows more character ... Read More:

On a scale of 1-10, 10 being good and 1 being utter s***e I give The Village a score of minus 6.
DO NOT WASTE TIME OR MONEY WITH THIS FILM!!!!!! I've made that mistake already so you don't have to.

The plot is wafer thin, you'll see the so called twist long before the end. By the time you've guessed what is going on stop the film and eject it because at this point you'll only be 5 minutes into the film and you can watch something else instead.

It's not a five-star film, but this stout navy-blue R1 box is a veritable treasure chest. You get two DVDs, postcards and a cute little hardback book of production designs, notes and a letter from Brad Pitt complaining about his costume. It's a beautifully put-together package, and the film itself is a longer, better cut, too. You see Odysseus trying to "dodge the draft" by pretending to be a goatherd and several other little character touches taken straight from the myths, filmed and then foolishly cut to make way for more fighting.

Martin Cahill was a real person. He didn't drink or smoke, had a loving if unconventional family life with his wife, her sister and their kids, didn't womanize. He also was clever, funny, charismatic, ruthless, and, up until the end, a successful Dublin criminal. He didn't see his crimes as vice, just as an occupation. In addition to hundreds of burglaries and thefts beginning when he was scarcely a teen, he was smart enough to pull off two immense robberies, the first involving a large number of gold bars and jewels, the other of extremely valuable paintings. He wound up on the bad side of the cops, of the IRA, of the Unionists and even of one of his gang members.

John Boorman has written and directed a fascinating life of Martin Cahill, and in Brendan Gleeson he found an actor who ... Read More:
