A very good movie, its about The Water Horse (The Loch Ness Monster ?) who grows from been very tiny to a huge animal in a very short space of time. Beautifully shot with excellent locations and settings, gives the impression of Scotland during World War II. Very good looking creature, looks very life like. Very entertaining for all the family which the kids will love.

I love this film, Matt Damon does so well in the action scenes. I have to say I didn't think that I would love it as much as I do. Definately one to watch over and over again.

Thanks to my Cineworld season ticket, I see many films in the cinema; one or two a week throughout 2007. My favourites for the year included Zodiac, the latest Harry Potter, The Lives of Others, and Brick Lane. But the best of all - and the best by a long way - was The Flying Scotsman. As others have mentioned, this is a biopic of Graeme Obree and about ordinary people doing great things. I found found myself drawn into the story and began to think (fancifully) about doing great things myself. The acting is great and tremendously realistic, the story is heroic, and yet there is a sensitivity at the film's heart as we follow Obree's obsession. A strange and disquieting film more than an interesting one. It tries too much to demonstrate something and that something is just as unreal as the mind who thought it over, if over at all. A drug lord in New York is supposed to go spend seven years in prison. He must have been convicted and sentenced by a court. So what is he doing free outside the prison he is supposed to go to by his own means tomorrow? What's more on the very day before this move to the prison his apartment is raided by the police with a proper search warrant and money and drugs are found in his own couch, apparently on some information given to the police by some fink. I never really got the nack of 3 hour films, 'Lord of the rings' etc. but Troy is a powerful action packed film with plenty of hard fighting. Troy is an 'Epic' you may find the term when you look at Kingdom of heaven, Gladiator or Master and Commander. I can clearly see Troy up with films like that. As for the film iself, it has an amazing cast and i was surprised to see Sean Bean as well since i didnt read the small print lol bu yeah and it featured Peter O'toole who ive seen in many other films. As for the special effects, what can i say it looked real from the start,the fighting was was gorey from what you might of seen in Gladiator like Stab, Chopped heads of etc. A long time ago i saw the orignal cut of Troy and i was not impressed but with the directors ... These red-cover editions were supposed to be extended but they weren't. That's the reason the "blue covers" stayed collectable. Supremacy is the excellent fast chase film with barely any lulls or wasted words and the soundtrack by John Powell has the largest amout of new material to accompany the theme. So avoid these red cover copies for the first two films and just buy them in the double box with the sky blue cover OR the very last DVD Box set with a black cover. Now that Matt Damon's doubtful to star in any more Bourne films, the black box set of all three films is probably the best value.

I found this film on VHS in my local bargain bin for £2, being a sort of on the spot compulsive buyer, I went for it. As soon as 'Making Time' by Creation came on during the opening montage i knew i was going to love this film. The characters and interplay between them is superb (my particular favourite is the awkwardness between Ms.Cross and Max Fischer) and in my opinion, this is Bill Murray at his best (even better than lost in translation which I thought was brilliant). The soundtrack is great, even the smallest cameos are well performed, and the director's idiosyncratic style shines through; if anything with more swagger and fun than any of his other films I've seen.

If your looking for ancient battle scenes involving shields, spears, arrows and swords then this will be an enjoyable film. The story line is preposterous involving Orlando Bloom running away with the wife of a powerful king triggering a war. The characters are okay but you watch a film like this for the action and not an intelligent meaningful script.

This one is from the Broken Lizard comedy team and concerns a bunch of highway patrol officers who are more intent on larking about than doing any actual police work. They may be good at playing the `Meow' game, but their ineptitude means their department is about to be closed down, and the only hope of survival lies in solving a case of drug smuggling and murder. Can they stop covering each other in shaving foam long enough to get the job done? Super Troopers is the third full-fledged Broken Lizard film I've seen (I'm not counting the dire Dukes Of Hazzard), and this is about as funny as the other two (Club Dread and Beerfest).
