OK the FX of Tron are nothing to todays. But this film shows the level of CGI in 1982 the extra features illustrate how the FX are achieved and what a struggle this film was. Also the extra features tell the story of Tron from its earliest incarnations to the finished film. The film itself is not only a great story but it shows the level of computing at the time. Tron is in fact an Antivirus in a world before antivirus programs were even thought of.

Not a feature length piece, more like finding two unseen episodes of series 5. The two pieces are stand alone, relatively slow paced episodes, focusing on a single dilemma in each.

They lack the interconnected richness of the greatest arc episodes, and of course they lack the full cast and station atmosphere, but I enjoyed them both and was glad for the new additions to the series.

The cast, old and new, was excellent, the special effects have jumped forward again, and the new look slightly edgy cinematography was intriguing.

Not having particular expectations of The Lost Tales helped me take it at face value. Since I'd only just caught up with series 5 for the first time, I didn't have a 9 year wait for this release to build ... Read More:

The final season of Babylon five is something of a series of two halves. In the beginning the season is slow to get going and has some of the worst episodes in the entire series but it does improve towards the end and the final three episode are, I feel, some of the best Babylon 5 has ever produced. I feel the main problem with season five is that they try to get too much into it, with the telepath rebellion and another Centauri war, the season feels rather rushed. Also with the loss of Marcus and Ivanova at the end of season four the addition of new recurring characters so late in the shows run would never rarely go down that well as it is difficult to grow to like and care for their replacements. Although it does get off to a rather disappointing start, season five is definitely an ... Read More:

This is not a comment on the series Babylon 5. It is a comment on the quality of the video image itself. I purchased this and the other series in expectation of moving from my VHS home recorded copies of these episodes to the quality we all expect to find on a DVD.

In parts the episodes on this DVD are a lower quality than the episodes I recorded myself several years ago. Where the quality is not less it can only be said to be equal to the old VHS tapes.

In addition, it looks as though the image has been zoomed in a very small amount to the extent that peoples heads occasionally slide off the top of the picture.

It also looks as though some tinkering has occured with the brightness and contrast. Frequently the picture is way darker than it should be and every now and ... Read More:

ThirdSpace is average, Call to arms borders on the pathetic and the only movie that is really worth watching out of the set is River of Souls.

ThirdSpace: Cool idea which simply did not fit the format. It would have taken at least 4-5 episodes in order to develop it fully to the same depth as the Babylon main line. It was cramped into a small feature movie instead. It is clearly missing the depth of the Babylon 5 mainline. Some tolerable special effects, lots of holes in the plot and a really cheesy and stitch-ed up ending.

Call to Arms: Worse than an average Babylon 5 episode. Its only right to existence is to provide the link between the Crusader and Babylon 5. There are so many inconsistencies that it is not even funny. On top of that a number of the major supporting characters could ... Read More:

Keeping this short and sweet, i dont want to spoil anything for anyone who hasnt seen it, this is a great sci-fi movie. On its own it could be a little confusing so i would reccomend seeing the first few seasons of the series first. It has a great story and acting and some of the best special effects in a straight to video and dvd release. The spaceships all move as they would in real life, no unrealistic WWII style dogfights here (Lucasfilm really need to brush up on their physics!), the Earth Force Starfury slides, rotates, and pulls off maneouvres that you will never see an x-wing do. And the Minbari ships are works of art. Buy it and you wont be dissapointed.

its a nice addition to the b5 universe.
i understand some of the criticisms of the reviewers but you have to take into account the restrictions with which jms had to work.
the budget is very obviously very small and as such i believe he has done a good job
how do you write and produce a good sci fi on a shoestring
if you look at the majority of the big american sci fi series and then compare it to what he had to work with on the original series and even more so on this,i defy anyone to do a better job
i feel that these days most people want to see action and fast punchy story lines all the time ,b5 was always a bit different becuase although it had action there was always a cerebral quality to the stories.
these stories are just a natural continuation of that and im disappointed ... Read More:

Say what you will about Danielle Steel it's true her books are not high brow works of literature but they are none-the-less entertaining.

The TV adaptations of her books are exactly the same not fantastic oscar worthy movies but the perfect way to while away an afternoon.

Zoya is one of my favourites as I love the history surounding the lead character. Ms. Steel certainly goes to alot of effort to research her books and it shows.
We follow Zoya a fictional Countess a friend of the Tsar's Children though her life of privilage in Russian and the subsequant revolution to Paris during the first world war. We then leave Paris and head to America for both the great depression and the second world war and onwards. She loses many loved ones along the way but the story is essentially of a woam who's spirit ... Read More:

WOW i watched this film a long time ago and i had to buy it recently, just to re-live those funny moments.
this is a wacky comedy that we make you laugh from beginning to end. Milla Jovovich looks mighty fine as Christian Slater's girlfriend.
if you havent seen this, watch it!
