A great Batman film and done right. some scene want on for too long at parts but overall A good film any Batman fan or normal movie goes. In my mine the best film of 2008 I seen

I know this is not out yet on Blu-Ray but i have watched the first 5 mins of Dark Knight on Blu-Ray as it is on the special features on my Batman Begins Blu-Ray disc and judging by that this will be probably a must own title. Honestly the opening scene of Dark Knight on Blu Ray on a big high definition TV with the sound cranked up is a jaw dropping experience!

This is a remake of the 1957 film of the same name. Fortunately I saw the original last year, which is a minor classic itself. In general I don't like remakes, however this is well done and Russell Crowe again shows that when he wants to, he can be a terrific actor. Rather surprisingly I thought his performance overshadowed Christian Bale's, who is generally considered a better actor. The story that Peter Ustinov used to tell of an actor he was working with is never more true than here. Ustinov was in the background in a shot, and the star of the movie turned to him and said "what are you doing?". Ustinov said "I'm doing nothing". The star said "Oh no your not I'M DOING NOTHING". Complete pretentious twaddle. Fell asleep after ten minutes. Dont watch this film you will never get the time back. I only gave it one star because Amazon won't let me give it zero.

...and proof that Christian Bale can play ANY role. The story copys the film "Fahrenheit 451". Excellent visual style and an excellent cast make this one a whole lot better than the "original". The finale will leave you stunned with an open mouth.

I watch this movie before I watched the original Batman (I know I'm a bit behind), and I actually enjoyed the move better. The story follows a similar path to the first Spiderman film in that it's takes you back to where it all began. It works well and Christian Bale is awesome. As a Blu-ray, the experience only gets better...

I will try not to be too negative. I found it painful to watch this movie , I mad ethe incredible mistake of reading the book 2 years before I saw the movie and I was slighty worried about the cast but my cocerns turned into nightmares as the caracterisation was totally woeful , john Hurt can be saved with a mildly credible accent and some decent acting. Kefallonia is a beatifil Island with glorious sunsets and multiple colours to make any cinematographis enterprise shine but the director ( whoever he/ she was ) missed every single oportinity. The sexual tension between the main actors is non existant and the plot has been "sexed-up" to make suitable to American audiences. 2 generous stars
