Apparently the little genius town of Eureka hasn't quite run out of disasters yet, even with the destruction of the Artifact.

In fact, Eureka's problems get worse as the show's writing becomes better, starting with the citizens bursting into flame. The second season of "Eureka" is more confident and well-balanced than the previous one, and it takes the characters, quirky humor and tight writing into brand-new territory. Including Carter walking around naked.

The timeline has been restored, and Carter (Colin Ferguson) and Henry (Joe Morton) are trying to adjust to their past lives. Carter also is convinced that the future will unfold just as it did in the other timeline.

But during a solar flare viewing, ... Read More:

I came to this series with no expectations as all I had read were a few reviews and watched a couple of clips on YouTube. I am so glad I gave it a chance. It is like a breath of fresh air amongst all the remakes and re-imaginings that are appearing these days. It has a simple premise, a good cast, and engaging scripts. The plots of each story, while borrowing ideas from other shows, feel fresh and new and come over very much as tributes not rep offs.

The residents of Eureka are a wacky bunch that you can't help but grow to like. The technobabble is presented with tongue firmly planted in cheek. But most of all the show is very well rounded in that it has something for everyone, there's action, romance, comedy, Sci-Fi, and a little titillation ... Read More:

After the outstanding original adaption of 'Tales...', we get Armistead Maupin's second installment of the cleverly interwoven stories of several colourful San Francisco residents in the 70's.

The main hunk of the story focusses on a bunch of tenents living in several flats in a place called, 28 Barbary Lane. Everyone who crosses the paths of these tenents are somehow mysteriously linked to one another, leaving little threads or clues to the mysteries surrounding them. It's these threads that once woven together create this rich tapestry that is 'More Tales...'

Once again, we witness the wonderful Olympia Dukakis play the equally wonderful and intriguing landlady, Mrs Anna Madrigal.
Lauraa Linney ... Read More:

In "Darkman," director Sam Raimi's first mainstream studio effort after the runaway success of "The Evil Dead" (1982) and its sequel "Evil Dead II" (1987), the audience sees double. Well, not always, but it does feature a hero who is able to assume the physical identities of his enemies in an effort to cause confusion amongst their ranks in his quest of bloody vengeance.

How does he do it, you ask? Through science, of course. Raimi has a wild imagination (which showed itself throughout the rampant mania of his "Evil Dead" movies) and his reputation precedes him everywhere he goes. Such is the case with "Darkman," his ode to the superhero genre after attempts to obtain the rights to "The Shadow" failed. With a legion of screenwriters at his disposal including ... Read More:

DVD : Armistead Maupin's More Tales Of The City - Episodes 4-6 [1998]
Once again, it has not been a disppointment to see the video after reading the book. Armistead Maupin's excellent, intricate story of people intertwining and finding themselves - and others - in the big, legendary city of San Francisco has been faithfully rendered in this second video set based the second two volumes of on his six-book series. Maupin was quite involved in the work on the video series, and it shows. The video is a faithful rendering of all the elements, all the toungue-in-cheek comedy, all the comments on society, of Maupin's original text.

The video picks up where "Tales of the City" left off, and takes us through an emotional rollercoaster ride that leaves us feeling as if we left our heart back up at the top of Lombard Sreet. But of course, it ... Read More:
