I caught the pilot episode of this drama some time ago and looked forward to the DVD release (i prefer to watch series at my own pace and convenience rather that week by week on TV). I certainly wasn't disappointed, Duchovney's character is writer 'Hank', an intelligent hard drinking cynic of life with a view on everything and everybody who cannot stop himself sharing it. In the battle to get his family back, beat writers block, survive the women of LA and their upset husbands he takes you on a unique ride. If you are a fan of excellent (often strong) dialogue, dark humour, and American TV at its best then this is a must watch!

It's been so many years since The X-Files TV series ended. Half of it's original audience gave up after six or seven years searching for the elusive truth with Mulder and Scully, and when it was finally laid to rest at the start of the new millennium it seemed it went out with a whimper rather than a bang. So X-Files fans can rejoice at the release of the new movie - a stand-alone, unrelated sequel to the original X-Files movie. Mulder and Scully are back. Only this time they have very little to do and very little plot to make sense of. The opening is impressive, lending atmosphere and tension to an intriguing set-up very nicely. I watched the whole of the original X Files when they were first on TV and loved the series. I have just purchased (and watched) the X Files movie and have to admit that it has re-kindled my love for this series. The film is as good, if not better than I expected and I suspect I will now start buying the whole TV series. So, if like me, you haven't watched the X Files for a few years, I can recommend this film. I loved it.

A great follow up season. The conspiracy grows, the great episodes just keep coming. Not much else to say but - watch it!!

when this first aired on BBC 2 I was hooked from the start ,I absolutely loved it . Aliens and creepy monsters have always got my full attention so this was perfectfor me just loved it .

This season was a lot more varied than previous seasons, but most of the episodes were very good or excellent. The season starts directly after the first X files movie which results in Mulder and Scully being (temporarily) taken off the X files and reassigned to AD Kirsch. There are a lot of highlights in this season. The episode "Triangle" is filmed as if it is one continuous scene, which is quite an achievement. The two parter "Dreamland" is very funny, as it shows how Mulder copes with having an unintentional "body swap" with a "Man In Black" after being exposed to a malfunctioning spacecraft. The highly confusing alien "syndicate" conspiracy was finally tied up in the episodes "Two Fathers" and "One Son". This resulted in Mulder and Scully regaining their roles on the X files. ...
