As a previous reviewer said, this film tries too had to be different. It's as though the film makers knew all the ingredients to make a kooky, weird independant film, but didn't know how to mix them together.

I'm normally a fan of these types of films - Lost in Translation, The Life Aquatic, and all that - but despite its obvious desire to be highly charming, Juno just feels hollow. There's no emotional gravity, no real depth of character. You feel as though the target audience is the same age or younger than the main actors, as though Juno were the movie equivalent of those cheap plastic "my first kitchen" oven sets they sell in toy stores.

I use the term 'actors' loosely. It doesn't help that Ellen Page isn't a very ... Read More:

After being told what an 'amazing film' this was, i decided i should buy it. I totally regret this decision.
The first couple of minutes or so, actually seem fairly promising, but don't be fooled! Once the guy wakes up from being drugged, the film quickly gets worse and worse.
How anyone can rate this 5 stars, i haven't a clue. All i can say is i'm glad i only spent £5 on this. And even that was a waste.

I knew that this film was controversial before I watched it, so I was pleased to find this film highly enjoyable and every bit as good as its predecessors.
The only reason I've given it four stars instead of five is that like the previous two, it throws in so many minor characters that it can't do them justice in this period of time. Films will improve when studios have the courage to increase their length.

A young high school girl gets pregnant, and decides to have her baby, whom she gives up to adopting parents. Her courage is to be admired and applauded. But the acting in the film is not that good, and the dialogue stilted and forced. The actors portraying her parents are very good in minor roles, especially the stepmother. And the future adoptive father is great,as he slowly realises he does not want to be a father, and backs out of his marriage entirely.

I found this film highly enjoyable and I recommend it. Some have said that this franchise went downhill when Brian Singer left, but I would much rather watch this than have to sit through Superman Returns again.

The visuals on the first film are breath-taking. We first meet the famous Wolverine at a bar cage-fighting, being carefully watched by a teenage runaway, Rogue. Under the hard-core image of Wolverine, their appears to be a soft side to him when he is with Rogue. When the villan Magneto, who turns into an aly in the second film, kidnaps Rogue, Wolverine, Xavier and the team go out to look for her. If your a fan of Rogue or turn into one, at the end you get a scare. All-in-all, this movie is really good. With the movie's success the well-known actors, such as child-star Anna Paquin, Aussie Hugh Jackman, the beautiful Halle Berry and Star-Trek's Patrick Stuart, in this will have a long career ahead of them.

X Men United (X2)surpassed the first one. There are a lot ... Read More:

Although a lot of critics will smash this movie claiming things such as, it raises more questions than it answers and the characters weren't kept true to the original comics. With these criticisms this is simply a film that has to be taken lightly by all, including the dedicated comic book fans. The story is presented easily to the viewers, some true X-Men comic fans will know of the Phoenix saga already, but to those who haven't read the comics, the whole notion of the Phoenix is explained and made quite simple to follow.
A "cure" has been found to destroy the mutant gene and it throws the mutant world into turmoil as they are split between those who welcome the cure and those who find it as an insult. Jean Gray is found alive after the events of X2 but it has released ... Read More:

I watched Mouth to Mouth a couple of nights ago and found it to be a powerful film with outstanding performances, especially from Ellen Page but also from the other lead actors. The film engaged me emotionally to an unusual degree as it depicted the mental and physical abuse of a young woman at the hands of a manipulative cult/gang leader. This film is definitely one to see, not only for the great portrayal delivered by Ellen Page but also for the strong and moving story which engages throughout.
