I am so glad to find that other people love this as much as I do. Was buying it for my 3 year old godson because my boys (and I) loved it so much and reading these reviews brought back memories of my sons dancing round the living room and making me replay the songs over and over again, and of me spluttering tea with laughter at some of the jokes. I loved all the Hope and Crosby Road to ... films and wished that Branagh and Kline would do some more animation versions or remake them as they had a great chemistry. In my view an absolute classic family film.

The reviews on this DVD seem to be from the Live Aid DVD available elsewhere. This DVD is "Queen Rock Montreal & Live Aid", the Live Aid bit lasts around 15 minutes and is Queen's set in the afternoon and Brian and Freddie playing "Is this the world we created?", there are also the odd interview and some rehearsal footage here, these bits however should be seen as "extras", the main event is the 2 concerts filmed in Montreal in 1981.

Any one who is a Queen fan, probably has the "We Will Rock You" video or DVD, well this is the exact same film, but the quality in High Definition is astounding. The band apparently did not enjoy making this, they also did not own it, apparently they now do, and this HD DVD is a Queen Production. If you ... Read More:

DVD : Tommy - The Movie (The Who)
The film version of "Tommy" is sheer audiovisual overload. It's probably impossible to sit all the way though this extravaganza without popping out the room to make a cuppa or putting the player on hold overnight It's probably unfashionable to admit to liking it, though calling it a Cult Classic goes someway to sparing one's blushes. But thanks to DVD, we can now treat Ken Russell's rendering of Pete Townsend's rock opera like a box of rich chocolates: dip into your favourite scenes, or digest the whole lot at one sitting. Everyone knows by now the rather slender storyline of how young Tommy becomes deaf, dumb and blind after witnessing his war-hero father (Robert Powell), supposedly long-lost, return, only to be killed by his wife's thuggish lover (the ... Hey fantastic show I have the DVD and I was so Happy Mr John took the time and realised that all the old stuff its what us punters want to hear.
His Live shows are legendary and to have all this materail is fantastic. So I purchaed the Blue Ray Disc expecting to be blowen away with sound. What the hell is PCM 5.1?!?! My apmlifier thinks its PCM 2.0 no matter what I try. There are 2 options PCM 2.0 and PCM 5.1. "Its still sterio to me but I'm indifferent". Stick with the DVD version, it IS in 5.1 with the DTS option. It's filmed in HD so the DVD is going to shine when played on a Blue Ray player. Sooooooooooo disapointed!

This is undoubtedly the best thing to ever come out of BBC 3. It solidifies Rob Brydon's reputation not only as a sharp standup, improvisor, impressionist and actor, but also as a great writer. After Peep Show, this is my favourite comedy on TV. It's witty, deadpan, and hits the nail on the head every time. You won't regret buying this.
