This is one of Kevin Klines funniest roles playing the ordinary Joe Dave Kovic who has the appearance that resembles the president. When the president suffers from a severe stroke the government wants Dave to fill in for the president while he is out. When Dave takes on the role of the president and and has to take on the life that the president left behind for him like the first lady played by Sigourney Weaver who hated him. Dave needs to take on his relationship with the first lady, his advisor's played by Frank Langella and Kevin Dunn (the only people who know who Dave really is) ,and the country. Memorable Kline film in a brilliant double role.

The remake of 'Mon Pere Ce Heros' catered for a Hollywood audience and is probably the better known of the two outside the French Speaking world. I prefer the original; blame it on the Mauritian bias but objectively it's true. The original is more flowing and I recommend watching it before the remake.
This was recently issued in France on DVD under the title "Mon Père Ce Héros". When I bought it, I imagined it to be a film where Gérard Depardieu takes his daughter on holiday to Mauritius ( a film which I had seen and enjoyed several years ago ). What was my surprise when they ended up in the Bahamas, and the daughter wasn't the same actress as I had seen originally. On checking, I find that this is a remake of the original film. They ... I first watched this film when i was about 8 years old and thought it was amazing! My three older brothers loved it and saw it as a classic that would stand the test of time, and i'm telling you, they were right! Im now 23 and actually configured my dvd player just so i could buy this american dvd, the biggest shame is that it is not available to buy in this country!

If you are a true lover of 80s movies and appreciate that it was an era full of cheese, classic tunes and crappy dialogue, then and only then can you fully enjoy such a film! There is no point comparing it to films from nowadays becuase there is nothing out there like it! The soundtrack is too good and takes me back to when i was a child, maybe i love this film because i ... Read More:

This is another nice Aniston film, this time all revolving around a pretend relationship that was created in her relative's minds purely from a family photo where she was snapped by a strange man. Her family assume she and he are in a relationship and who is she to tell them any different, but first she has to meet him ...

This reminds you of just how funny this programme was. It is a shame that Michael is no longer doing the show but his interviews at the beginining of the episodes show just how much his Parkinsons has effected him. Still the programmes themselves are clever, funny and had me laughing (not just merely being humoured). It is just a shame that these are selected highlights and not the full series on DVD.

A great cast as well, whilst showing some of the characters that have been in and then left for other things.

Given four stars as would have ideally liked the full series available, but then I guess you can't have everything.
