I am a big fan of cecilia ahern so i had read the book of p.s i love you so when i heard the film was coming out i got exited because the book was amazing. I read a review saying that the film was realy sad and to have tisues ready and i thought well the book was amazing so obviously the film wil not be beter, how wrong could i be. Ididnt prepare with any tisues and i watched this on my own and icryed from the start o finish. For people who do not like this film and on one review it says its a ridiculous film they are very wrong and just hve a heart of stone. The Irish acent were a bit poor but that did not effect the amazing story line and the emotion atatched to this. Gerry and Holly are a typical couple who argue and make up over sily things, ... I rarely bother to write reviews about films I don't like, preferring to celebrate those that I do. However I make an exception for this film because I think people should be warned.

Dull, cheesy, nauseous tripe. Unlikeable characters (even Sandra Bullock), no humour and zero chemistry between the leads. I have to stress that this is not a romcom, it is a tragic tale of ghastly people, the heroine is a doormat and the hero a stalker.

You would have to pay me a considerable amount of money even to watch it again, never mind give the dvd house room.

If you are of an extremely (stress extremely) sentimental disposition, you might enjoy some of it. But if you have an iota of cynicism, or like your romance light, ... Read More:

Seen this at the cinema and a couple of times on TV.Bought this to try out my new KEF Kit 100 system and was not disappointed.Still makes you think how young these "men" were and a visit to the American War Cemetery at Madingley nr Cambridge only confirms this.

I already owned this film on DVD and loved it. I bought the Blue-ray edition to get even more out of such a great film. What Amazon don't tell u is that this edition is an edited version which in reality is 9 minutes shorter than my DVD version. My one star rating is purely based on another money spinning project....... no doubt in a year or so we'll get the Blue-ray Directors cut coming out. Unfortunately for me i couldn't return it as I never watched it as soon as it arrived.

It all starts with Dr. Helen Hudson(Weaver) giving a lecture on serial killers, little knowing that she's about to have an encounter with one. After her lecture is over she visits the restroom, and is attacked by one Daryll Lee Cullum(Connick). Flash forward 13 months. We see Hudson yet again, but this time she's confined to her apartment. You see, she's now an agoraphobic, having retired after that fateful day. At the local police precinct detectives M.J. Monahan(Hunter) and Ruben Goetz(Mulroney) are tracking a killer of their own, played by William McNamara. He appears to be mimicing the MO's of various famous serial killers. Hudson hears about this over the radio and calls the precinct with some information. She speaks to Monahan, who thinks it's a crank call. Monahan ... Read More:

Please note that this review contains spoilers.

The Iron Giant is a film that is almost totally unique in the history of contemporary animation. It is a provoking and poignant story that is exciting without being brainless and thoughtful without being condescending.

I won't go into the particulars of the story itself since that is probably summarised by Amazon and most other reviewers. Instead I will say that this film has a particular gift which is to teach children by treating them as adults and to entertain adults in a child-like way. It is moving and funny and entertaining; never straying too far from the habits of its characters in order to thrust a moral lesson home, nor suspending story for the sake of a joke and, perhaps most importantly, not afraid ... I watched this film twice in the hope of understanding really what the purpose was of actually making it? There are so many holes that can be picked in it from start to finish that I really can't "get it"? Skipping over everything and going directly to where Travolta is called into help Nielsen interrogate the prisoner I assumed it was by the ending to do with the drugs. But I also had to wonder how some guns miraculously had dummy ammo but others not? The ending was just too smart for itself, I can't pretend to say I know what it was/when it was? It was plain daft. Not a single reviewer can say he/she knows what the ending reflects. Amazon may have a policy of NOT criticising other reviewers but if that is the case they in turn SHOULD NOT accept 3 line reviews which say absolutely nothing ... Read More:

I'll keep this as short as possible.
I remember around 7 years ago, I watched this for the first time. I was quite young and I was absolutely mesmerized by it. Today, I had a craving to watch it again for the first time in 7 years. I dug out the old dusty VHS from the attic and played it. After watching it once again, I was completely blown away. The animation has not a aged a bit and the story is as touching as ever.

Don't pass the chance up to watch this classic. A legendary film that I shall remember for the rest of my life.

"I make people nervous," says Peter Evans.
"Why's that?" Aggie White asks.
"'Cause I pick up on things, I think. It makes people uncomfortable."
"Pick up on things?"
"Things not apparent," Peter says.

With that, William Friedkin and screenwriter Tracy Letts, working from Letts' play, put us in the middle of an intense and controlled descent into madness. Bug may be a one-theme movie placed almost exclusively in a small, two room set, but thanks to Friedkin, Michael Shannon as Peter Evans and Ashley Judd as Agnes White, it will not only give you the creeps, it'll make you appreciate some fine movie making.

Aggie is one of life's losers, worn, dumb, lonely and passive, with a smoker's voice, a four-letter vocabulary and an abusive ex-husband ... Read More:
