After throwing a secret party for his son Chris's 12th birthday , Daniel Hillard (Robin Williams) lands himself in hot water with his wife Miranda (Sally Field) and she demands a divorce. When Miranda wants to hire a housekeeper to look after the children, Daniel is outraged that Miranda would rather let a stranger look after the children than him so with a little help from his make-up artist brother, Daniel turns up to an interview as Mrs Doubtfire, a british nanny who has 15 years experience under her belt and is hired on the spot. Mrs Doubtfire is a fantastic family film that is funny, sad and touching all at the same time.

With a great story lined up and an A list cast all included, Independence Day broke records when released in 96, and now 12 years on it still hasn't lost any of its magic. Will Smith (Fresh Prince of Bel Air) coming almost straight from being a rapper and starring on a network TV show got the role of a U.S pilot which put him firmly on the market as one of the hottest and youngest actors around. Smith stars alongside Bill Pullman (While you were sleeping) and Jeff Goldblum (Jurassic Park) as the world comes under attack by alien spacecrafts and the stakes are raised by each of their love lives. I honestly wasn't expecting much out of this. So I was very suprised when I loved it from start to finish! It has everything we have come to expect of a classic Disney film.. a strong hero/heroine, a hilarious sidekick character, a great soundtrack and a beautiful display of animation. Yes, it really is a great film, with a powerful story and some great characters. Highly recommended.

I already owned this film on DVD and loved it. I bought the Blue-ray edition to get even more out of such a great film. What Amazon don't tell u is that this edition is an edited version which in reality is 9 minutes shorter than my DVD version. My one star rating is purely based on another money spinning project....... no doubt in a year or so we'll get the Blue-ray Directors cut coming out. Unfortunately for me i couldn't return it as I never watched it as soon as it arrived.

Mulan 2 is the sequal to the classic story of the girl who took her father's armour and when off to join the chinese army to fight off the invading Huns. This story is about Mulan and Chang escorting Three Princess across China Mulan seem a lot more modern in this film and the princess end up with the soliders from the frist movie. Mulan and Chang clash a lot more in this movie and the music isn't that great but Eddie Murphy returns as the wise cracking Dragon and lifts in slightly but it lost some of the magic the original had but as nearly always the classic is always better.

You dont have to be Gay or `Straight' to watch this SUPPERB film !! It is a classic. Oh..... so funny, moving and tragic. All the cast need to be mentioned as they all shine in their individual roles. Harvey, as Arnold, is just fantastic and Anne Bancroft as his Jewish mother, trying to get him married off......... to a woman !! is awesome. Anne plays a jewish mother with campness !!! An excellent film. The best part for me, is when he goes down to colleage, where his adopted son attends in his dressing gown and rabbit slippers !!! For those who have never heard of this film and wish to give it ago, remember it is from a Broadway Play, written by the main actor in the film, Harvey, so at the beginning, you will see the ... Absolute dross! I just don't get the reviews from people that liked it, and I'm a fan of both Barrymore and Stiller!! There were no laughs and it was completely unbelievable and annoying, I will never be able to get the time back I spent watching that rubbish!

First things first. If you don't like Allen's work you wont like this. However, if you like his humour you'll love this. He's done a great job in showing up luvies pretensions and self opinionated egos. It's basically a piss take at art and as usual Woody Allen does a brilliant job. Not hilarious, just ironically funny.
