This is simply the best Blu Ray I have ever seen! Better that Wall E in terms of the scintillating images, colour, and detail! If you have anything like a decent Hi Def set up, this is a must demo and 'show off' disc. The film is good too, and extrtemely enjoyable, funny, full of action, and engaging! You can't go wrong with this movie, especially if you have kids! These animated blockbusters really do get better all of the time, Cars, Ratatouille, Happy Feet, Wall E, Shrek etc. and this is surely the best looking one yet! Ok, I am an adult, and we have no kids, but I suspect like many of us over 25, I do have a soft spot for these films, which really do make the best of your expensive equipment. I cannot recomend this film enough! It's funny, its romanitc and an all round great film. The sound track has something that makes you want to play it all over again. Jude Law, Jack Black and Kate Winslet all gave brilliant performances, Cameron's however, lacked the certain pizaz that she ususally has. But over all, one cracking Christmas film!

School of Rock never appealed to me...for a good reason: it sucks, like a vampire let loose a school hall full of female teachers. The only good and funny part was the guy in front me and my friend danced with two pencils, hitting his maths book repeatedly, in time to the poor music. Well, I say music, I should say urine. With ants in it. To describe the story, a man needs money so he pretends to be a famous school teacher to be a substitute for when the real teacher was unavailable. The man turns out to be a rock star that no-body is a huge fan of (I wonder why (?)). For example, most of the audience said that he sucked. I'd been toying with the idea of buying this movie for a while now - but part of me felt the plot was just too silly to work. But when the the price tag hit the £5 mark I bought it, yeah!! But BIG mistake! This film is bad. It limps along slowly and awkwardly, and the storlyline IS INDEED too far-fetched to work. Maybe an ok movie for kids, and for those who like this sort of thing, but best avoided by everyone else ..or else rent it from your library first.

Fantastic film. Jack Black's best so far. I never knew he could sing! The last scene is one of the best scenes in comedy. The competition with the devil was great and so funny. The lyrics in the songs are great. Meat loaf should stop acting though!

Tony Scott is a very seductive director. He presses all the right visual buttons. This man virtually patented the orange-filtered Simpson-Bruckheimer sky. To some, this makes him Ridley's flashy, shallow brother. But when Scott's camera happens upon a decent story and some really fine performers, as with Crimson Tide, the effect is like having your inside leg stroked in the dark for two hours. Enemy Of The State is like that. If there is only one reason you should watch this movie is to watch a balding bearded Tom Cruise dancing dirty to hip-hop black music. Oh man, that cracked me up. Awesome gags throughout. I give it only 4 stars because I think they could have made it even funnier.

This is an epic version of 'King Kong' with many virtues. The cast is uniformly good, particularly Naomi Watts in the Fay Wray part, vulnerable but feisty, naive but characterful. Peter Jackson has a proven track record of visual splendour, and he does not disappoint here. The special effects are mostly very impressive indeed, and there are some pleasant imaginative and humorous touches. I've seen it twice, and the first time I liked it and it just about held my interest, but the second time it dragged. Reaching Skull Island, seeing the monster, tracking it after it has gone off with the girl, they all had their moments, but I found myself wanting to go and make a cup of tea too often.
