Is this either Jackie Chan's or Jet Li's finest hour? No.
Is it one of the greatest Martial Arts or chop-socky movies ever? No.
The american protagonist is not particularly engaging either. I can't help but at least partially agree with another reviewer that less western and more eastern influence would have helped this movie a lot.

However, for those who have been entertained by both Jackie Chan and Jet Li for many years, this film is still a good tip-of-the-hat. In fact, the first fight between the two is especially good.

This is simply the best Blu Ray I have ever seen! Better that Wall E in terms of the scintillating images, colour, and detail! If you have anything like a decent Hi Def set up, this is a must demo and 'show off' disc. The film is good too, and extrtemely enjoyable, funny, full of action, and engaging! You can't go wrong with this movie, especially if you have kids! These animated blockbusters really do get better all of the time, Cars, Ratatouille, Happy Feet, Wall E, Shrek etc. and this is surely the best looking one yet! Ok, I am an adult, and we have no kids, but I suspect like many of us over 25, I do have a soft spot for these films, which really do make the best of your expensive equipment. This is utterly enagaging on a aesthetic level. Forgot ... Read More:

Jack Black voices Po, a lazy, overweight Panda who idolises the Furious Five kung fu champions: Tigress (Angelina Jolie), Mantis (Seth Rogen), Crane (David Cross), Viper (Lucy Liu) and Monkey (Jackie Chan). However, when Po gatecrashes an initiation ceremony, he is accidentally chosen to be the mythical Dragon Warrior, who is destined to save his valley from the villainous leopard Tai Lung (Ian McShane).

I remember 2007 has been the year of the three-quel's, and at long last--after the ambitious excess of "Spiderman 3," the lackluster of "Shrek the Third," the love-it-or-hate-it logic to the "Pirates" finale, the return to glossy form of "Ocean's 13," and the tense, engaging "Bourne Ultimatum" (which gave a great ultimatum to its own franchise)--we come to its end with the fun, campy adrenaline-rush of Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker re-teaming for "Rush Hour 3." At the end of watching this I though it was okay but I felt a bit sad that it had to come to an end like this because I enjoy the first two very much.

Jackie Chan (Lee) acts well as usual (have some problem for pronouncing things but I didn't mind that) and Chris Tucker is still hilarious ... Read More:

Greatest film ever? Maybe that is pushing it a bit (the likes of Robocop and Jaws 2 might have something to say about that). But Greatest car chase film ever involving Reynolds, Burt? Definitely. (Actually, Smokey and the Bandit might have something to say about that).

They simply do not make films like this any more. As a taster it involves Mr Foyt, 2 priests in a Ferrari, the crazed Doctor Nicholas Van Helsing, 2 bombshells in a Lamborghini, Roger Moore (as himself) sending himself up in possibly his best outfit since Live and Let Die, tree-loving bra-less Farah Fawcett, a manic Jackie Chan driving a souped-up Subaru and cool-as-ever Burt Reynolds with his side-kick Captain Chaos.

There is also a delicious scene where a man doesn't like ... Read More:

Here, Lucy Liu (Chinese Princess) is kidnapped by a Chinese traitor and a marshal who belongs in jail. Jackie Chan plays an Imperial Guard who travels from the Forbidden City to the wild west and ends up joining up with a very enjoyable and easy going train robber Owen Wilson in order to rescue her. Even though a western, there are many martial arts opportunity for Jackie. My favorite fight is when Jackie uses saplings to fight a group of Crow Indians. The interaction of the two main characters is very enjoyable and fun. To be added to every martial arts/western/comedy library.

I first saw Shanghai Noon on tv and loved it, I then went on the internet to order it and found Shanghai Knights.
Knights is funnier and the plot is excellent - especially with all of the characters: Jack the Ripper, Charlie Chaplain etc.
Its about when a Chinese rebel murders Chon's estranged father and escapes to England, Chon and Roy make their way to London with revenge on their minds, (with a little help from Chon's sexy sister Chon Lin) They aim to get the Imperial Seal the Chinese rebel stole back.
This film is packed with laughs and jokes and also picks up on characters from Shanghai Noon as well. A must for comedy/action lovers.

I bought this DVD for my dad last christmas. I had no intention to see it myself because i usually hate these type of films. The only reason i ended up watching it was because i decided to sit with my dad whilst he watched it. Well what can i say... i'm glad i did watch it now. It wasnt really what i expected at all. Funny how you picture movies to often be different than what they realy are. Obviously the cover gives you some image of what it will be like though. We actually found this rather entertaining in parts, definitely martial arts style too. The action does keep you hooked in watching to the end though, definitely.
Worth watching!
