First of all, let's laugh at the adults moaning about this film being 'terrible' or 'shallow'. Apart from being entirely wrong, they also seem to have forgotten that this ones for the kids!
There are really two points of view that matter here; the kid that watches the movie repeatedly and the adult that has to put up with it! On the first account my three year old son has been watching this for at least a year and still loves it. Multiple viewings don't seem to have tarnished it much at all and the opening three minutes still make him giggle with delight.
For me, as the suffering adult, I'd still give it a high rating. The animation is stylish, the casting perfect and the script funny. As has been mentioned in other reviews, ... Read More:

I just watched Reign Over Me. Brilliant movie.

Normally one would think it would not be something for me, because it's a "human drama" story. But it's a good one, it avoids the usual sentimental sand traps most of these movies are mired in.

And importantly, it has a lot of humor. It's subtle, of the kind people may not remember after, but it's there all the time. One small example: a therapist, played by lovely Liv Tyler, is told by a defensive patient that what he thinks about are her perfect tits. And next session she is wearing the bulkiest sweater you ever saw... and it's not even mentioned! That's excellent.

There's a bit of dangeous casting by Adam Sandler as the messed up guy, but he actually does ... Read More:

Pop this movie just the other night and it turns out this is still an incredible movie. Larenz Tate is indeed a fine actor. I've seen this movie numerously over the years and it still get to me. "Menace II Society" is a film that is so violent, depressing and real it seriously looks and feels like a documentary. Inside the first 20 minutes there are a few scenes that would be the climatic in the latter (Boyz n The Hood) purely because they contain outrageous violence, sadness and that feeling that you are watching something brilliant & depressing. It shows what a tenacious, vicious film this is- the normal, brutal ending to another film of misguided youth is purely an introductory, walk in the park for this.

This film is not particularly rich as for the content. A professional killer has been hired to eliminate all the witnesses and even the cops and other prosecution personnel in some criminal case. Banal. He does not want to drive his own car and he does not want to hire a car and an accomplice to drive him around. So he comes at night and just hires a taxi and its driver. That makes him difficult to trace. But that creates some problems because the taxi-driver is not really willing to do the job. And then the two are like mutual prisoners or custodians. One cannot work without the other and one cannot escape from the other. Yet the taxi-driver, after a long series of killings, finds the courage to cause an accident which means the arrival of the ... This film is about whether 2 friends will go back to Malaysia to save their friend's life who is set to be hung for possessing drugs that they all were responsible for. If they go back they save him yet have to spend 3 years each in a Malaysian prison.

The film is really thought provoking about what would you do yourself. Its a film about human nature and I found it really enjoyable while being uncomfortable to watch in parts. As someone else said here the content will stay with me for a long time.

Well worth a watch!!!

I fully understand that some people will find the movie boring, espeically for those who expect they will get the same experience from the stimuli in playing PS I, II, III... The film is a great stuff if you savour the content, the details and the visual feast...etc.

The central premise of "Bamboozled" directed by Spike Lee is a good one. The final result is not. Having watched most of Spike Lee's recent work I am struck by his obvious lack of faith in the intelligence of American viewing public. He has become so literal a director that nothing is allowed to be ambiguous for fear that the audience will misconstrue the specific agenda. This Spike Lee admits in the commentary of his film by having the Webster's definition of Satire recited by the lead actor.

The simplistic, amateurish and self-conscious direction was evident from the opening scenes especially the ones involving the two young protagonists in their tenement squat.

One of the most important parts of making a Motion Picture is the casting. If ... Read More:

Not exactly worshipped by the critics on release, Reign Over Me is actually a pretty good movie with excellent performances from both Don Cheadle and Adam Sandler. The nicely paced storyline involves a plot based on communication, or lack of it, between Sandler and his now detached persona following the loss of his family in one of the 9/11 plane crashes, and between Cheadle and his wife whose relationship is failing on a more basic level of communication. Spotting his old college roommate Charlie (Sandler) on the streets one day sparks a new mission in Alan Johnson's (Cheadles) life as the two gradually renew their friendship and slowly regain the ability to deal with their issues. Very good support is provided by Jada Pinkett Smith, Liv Tyler, Saffron Burrows and (all ... Read More:
