We bought this in 2005, but watched it extremely rarely, until just under a month ago, we started watching it again. It's a typical movie but not the best. It's worth a watch. But if you want to laugh your socks off while watching a movie get Cheaper by the Dozen or Over the Hedge.

Thanks for reading this review.

This is/was a great TV show as per the countless other reviews on here. Having watched all 5 seasons over the past week, it has been great ! and this box set really is good value + it comes with quite a few extras.

Favourite characters (for me) are Karen Marsden (Hermione Norris) due to her sharp wit and often scarchastic comments (normally about David), which provides much (often hidden?) humour and Ramona Ramirez (Jacey Salles) as having seen her on a daytime tv show was *amazed* as she speaks perfect well spoken English.. i just expected her to be Spanish :-)

So why only the 4.5 stars... well if i'm not mistaken the music that was around at the time Cold Feet aired on TV has been removed and replaced with 'general background ... Read More:

What do you get if you combine comedy, dancing, sparkles and false tan? Strictly Ballroom!

The main character, Scott, likes to make up his own moves when ballroom dancing and as a result loses his dance partner. Enter Fran, geeky, spotty, plain Jane, who wants Scott to teach her how to dance. Scotts pushy mother is not to keen on this arrangement.

This was always one of my favourites as a child.
This is a quirky, funny film that will be enjoyed by kids and adults alike.

If you want a detailed, telling story of Factory Records, get Shadowplayers. This film is 'a truth based on lies'. It is almost pure myth feeding. The bits of facts thrown in, are literally thrown in, they're not built into the script, they're simply blurted out at a convinient moment. The omition of New Order is simply unforgivable. You cannot tell the story of Factory Records without putting some detail into New Order, without whom Factory would have sunk without a trace very quickly. Other important bands of the era don't even get a mention, but these are understandable, the Smiths and the Stone Roses for example were not on Factory, and this is the story of Factory.

The film is not a boiling pot of laughter, there are moments that will split ... Read More:

Two live shows on one disc,'the man who thinks he's it' recorded live at The Palace Theatre in Manchester and 'live 'n' lewd' performed live at London's Lyceum theatre.
All his favourite characters appear,Alan Partridge,Paul and Pauline Calf,Tony Ferrino,Ernest Moss and the irritating Duncan Thicket, plus glimpses of Steve backstage.
This really is laugh a minute comedy with Paul 'i hate students' Calf and sister Pauline stealing the show during nearly three hours worth of material.
Fans of Steve Coogan will love this and i am so glad i decided to add this to my collection,it was the best night out i've had in years.

This suspenseful story is really very good with its twists and turns. It changes time frames with each episode but is easy to follow, and difficult to stop watching. I was reluctant to buy it as so many recent programmes seem to be full of loud grating noises - you know violins in the poignant bits and loud drums and eerie sounds in the suspenseful bits. There is a fair amount of that but it does not totally dominate the story even if it spoils it a lot of the time (hence the four star instead of five). However, it holds you in your seat as this tale of greed, betrayal and revenge unfolds. An added bonus is the shooting of an intolerable mobile phone user on the 'Quiet area' of a train. I suspect that scene gave many people satisfaction! It is a bargain at this ... Read More:

As a Swede, I don't now much about British criminal law, except the few things I gleaned here and there while watching American legal dramas. But, it's not really the same, is it? I don't intend to review the plot which would be unfair to those contemplating the purchase of the DVD cases for the two seasons. However, what I can say, is that it definitely was a shame the producers didn't carry on with the series. The plot is good, the cast impeccable and the lines, especially those between Penny Downie and Paul Freeman, very entertaining and believable. Having said that, I must say that I was very frustated that the writers never quite seem to be able to decide which way the series was going to take. First season is focusing on legal issues, while I found it quite ... Read More:

Horror movies fulfill an important role in many adolescent kids' lives as they both are obsessed with sexuality and death. So why not write a spoof series that give tribute to Hammer, Amicus and Tigon films?

The problem is that really this another attempt at "Coogan's Run": an unpredictable and uneven anthology comedy series. Just like " ...Run" Coogan plays multiple roles and, inevitably, the quality of the episodes varies.

One constant high point is Coogan's eponymous narrator. He is crude, cruel, snobbish and perverted;he also has his bad points. Actually his kinky and surreal monologues are often the best part of the shows.

The opening "Fearing" episode is a patchy spoof of Amicus anthology horror films and a little too arch for ... Read More:

DVD : Paul And Pauline Calf's Video Diaries [1994]
Absolutely hilarious depiction of Manc lad Paul Calf, with his Chuck Norris haircut and total inability to function as a respectable citizen. Meet his mate Fat Bob, sister Pauline Lulu Calf, and two appearances by playwright Patrick Marber, as Roland the student and Spiros ("like a Greek god, only fatter and with a tache"). Very funny scripts and set-ups, this is a character Coogan ought to revive (Calf in his 40s, still on benefits despite getting four numbers once at the lottery?). One grumble - why isn't this on DVD yet? - my VHS is getting worn out.
